    great tribute. Mick I suppose would be could a journeyman player, nothing spectacular, but steady. Always popping up to score important goals, Ipswich 1968 a late equalizer in a vital promotion game springs to mind. Another was a cracker against Wolves in a 4-2 away win. The way Stan celebrated shows the affection his team-mates had for him. Died too young. Thanks for the memories Mick

    Strangely, I hadnt seen this game for years.....always showing a few other games from that season. I was there as a schoolboy as indeed I was for most games that season. Great times....please come back!!!!!

    Thanks for posting that. Great day and one of our biggest ever. Remember being jam packed like squashed sardines in a huge tin behind the goal in the Loft, and the atmosphere put mildly was electric, and got very nervy early 2nd half when Leeds threatened.
