Just seen this in the Wobby Stephen McGinn's knee operation on Wednesday was deemed a success, Watford manager Malky Mackay has confirmed. McGinn damaged his cruciate knee ligament in a challenge with Doncaster Rovers forward Jason Euell and team-mate Adam Thompson on February 26. The former Scotland Under-21 international had an operation at the beginning of March and had another procedure on Wednesday. Mackay yesterday confirmed: ââ¬ÅStephen had the operation and so far everything went to plan, the consultant was happy with how it all went.ââ¬Â
I'll reserve judgement. I heard those words directed at me 30 years ago & 2 months later had to give up playing rugby & basketball - also had to retrain as a goalkeeper in order to carry on playing football.
Too true Norway - 30 years is an eternity in medicine - just thought it was good news that his action plan for recovery appears to be on track. There's a long road ahead though
Good news. Clearly he won't be ready for the start of next season. But we've really missed him in recent weeks, and it'd be great if he can come back for the run-in next season. It'll be like a new signing. Which is just as well, because we won't be getting any of those in the January window.
Good point NNW With our small resources we have tended to fade in the second half of recent seasons - in fact probably the only season in recent years when our second half has been better was under BR.
we tend to start well then when injuries suspensions, loanees going back ,we are threadbare and struggle! despite this we have had a really good season and achieved a lot more than many had thought or hoped for!
Just think if in a few seasons time we could keep our players and strengthen in a transfer window and not rely on loanees!! and have a shot at this league without being so hamstrung in so many ways!
What blue flag? oh that blue flag wait a min, oh ,tagging Have I done something wrong ? to be tagged I mean!
