If we are to believe many of the tabloids, Vedran Corluka will be available in January on a loan basis from Spurs. The player allegedly wants more opportunities in the Premiership to help retain his place in his country's National squad. Given Wolves' defensive weaknesses, might this not be a chance for Mick to get him in until the end of this season. He may not be overly expensive in terms of salary, in that money appears not to be his primary motivation at this time. Whatever one may think of his ability, he has certainly shown, both with Spurs and his National team, that he has more ability than several of the Wolves defensive squad. He also has the experience at the highest level. So, Mick, is this a chance to do something, at last, about that creaking defence?
I'd be very surprised if he got his wish and moved in January, Naughton will be back from his loan at the end of the season and Levy would not be happy at having to buy or loan someone in so that Charlie can get more football. That said, if you did get him, he'd be a very good signing for you but you might have more chance with Bassong.
