I read this elsewhere & I agree. City loving this deal because they are hoping for a gas meltdown. That is true as they are saying it all over twitter. But they are forgetting that they are now pinning their hopes on Taylor (who has never played in the championship) to score the goals to save them from relegation. Agent Taylor I think we will cope without him to be honest.
Good luck to him !! Can't see who at 82ltd he's going to replace ? anyway if we could get Wilbraham to come here, I know which of those 2 I'd rather have !!!!
I thank him for his goal as without him, we wouldnt be in league 1 now. So thank you Taylor. But you know me guys. I havent really been his biggest fan have I? I have regularly pointed this out. Yes he has scored many goals for us but his shots to goals ratio must be very very poor. A half decent striker would have got a lot more goals from the chances that Taylor has had. Providing we will get a replacement for him, I dont think we will miss him that much to be honest. The only thing about this deal that im not impressed with is the transfer fee. I think he does value more than that for sure. Its our clubs fault for allowing the release fee to be so small. But I do think that this is a massive massive gamble for City. They are on a truely awful run losing 8 out of 8 league games and just 2 points outside the relegation zone with the worse form in the football league. There is no current ****ter club than them currently. They are now signing Taylor, a player who has never performed at that level and has struggled in many games this season at our level and City are now basically pinning all their hopes on Taylor to keep them up. I dont think Taylor has it in him to be honest. He is very much a confidence player and if there is any City fans against him, that will effect his game and if he misses a sitter like he regularly does, and that sitter costs them a game, I think it will give their fans even more reasons to be calling for LJ's head. City fans loving this though because they are liking the meltdown by some gasheads. However they just dont realise that Taylor will now be expected to play his part in keeping them up and if he is sitting in the bench every game, it will effect his confidence/game. If he starts games and dont score as he could very well struggle, that will effect his confidence/game. I can see their fans allowing LJ to keep start Taylor if he hasnt scored in a few games. DC gave Taylor all the time and patience to get Taylor scoring when he went on long non scoring runs. I cant see their fans or manager giving this time to Taylor. I think this deal could really cost City their place in the championship as they should be getting someone much better, after all, they have the finances for it.
Also, think of it this way... No club wanted him in the summer when he was FREE. No club wanted him now for just £300k after scoring 19 goals this season..... until City today. That speaks volumes in itself to me
Ricky Miller of Dover is apparently being lined up as his replacement for us. I will be happy with this!
I mentioned Ricky Miller in this thread.... bottom to paragraphs in this comment http://www.not606.com/threads/national-league.342606/
Well, we know we can score a lot of goals with or without Taylor. He'll do well, because his stats are second to none. He'll still miss a few, but he'll bag a lot of goals too, because that's what he does.
Cardiff have apparently matched the release clause too so the deal to City could yet be snubbed! Should get interesting!
I did say last summer that I'd heard Taylor could go to City as he apparently bought a house near their training ground. Obviously didn't happen then but now it looks possible. He ain't that ambitious if he is going to City! Judas.
