Wycombe, shots on target 4, off target 6, corners 5.

Rovers, shots on target 9, off target 7, corners 8.

Do we need another striker.

As a priority no. Most of Buckle's signings have been attack minded. Richards is progressing better than I
had expected. It's hard to see where the problem is though.
Attackers: McGleish, Harrold, Richards, Anyinsah, Zebroski, Carayol, McLaggon
Midfielders: Campbell, Gill, Stanley, Brown, Carayol, Anyinsah, McLaggon, McGleish
Like many other sides we need a midfielder who can create. We've got ones who can defend,
and others who can attack; but we're short of one who can create.
On paper Buckle has assembled a pretty useful L2 side. Any problem may be more to
do with selection, tactics, substitutions and motivation.
RB needs sorting out, and we need a fit Bolger.

I think that once we gel we'll take some beating. We're still getting lots of shots on goal, so a few more of those need to go in. No need to panic yet!

harrrrold is the only inform striker. mcgleish has been played out of position. he is a striker not left winger. zebroski has been played out of position. he is a striker not a right winger. as mcgleish and zebroski is use to playing as strikers, they are use to scoring goals which is evident by the amount of goals they scored last season. while playing out wide, they are not scoring therefore their confidence will have been hit.

if kuffour goes, and if we continue to get bad luck then we need another striker. unless we give richards more of a chance or even mclaggon or powell.

defence is the main issue for sure though.

What's the story with Powell...is he injured ? Other youngsters have made the bench, and even in the pre-season
v Bitton he was an unused sub.

Dont understand why he isnt given the chance to play. He can't be as good as others make out otherwise he would be in the squad. 18 is not to young to play league 2 football, if your any good

I think that at the moment PB has got his squad together what with Richards playing so well I don't think he can allow himself another young front runner into the fold at this moment in time. Once injuries and suspensions start to creep in then its possible he could be drafted into the squad.

I guess so, but we do need Powell to start looking at first team football, otherwise he will end up at Bath with the rest <ok>

Doesn’t he have real pace and a good goal scoring record? Surely that should be enough to get people to notice you, yet none of our recent managers have felt the desire to play him. I just wonder if he really is as good as we were making out/hoping he would be.

Just to add - I think he was a reserve in that u18 game - wheather that was because he might have been needed for the first team squad, coming back from injury or just plain not doing the buisness so far this season who knows! Anybody out there got any info on it?
