It's the Carling Cup, and League 2 Macclesfield travel to Bolton's Reebok Stadium to see who can get through to the third round and have the chance to play the likes of Manchester Utd and Chelsea.

I'm going to the game, but anything to do with the game can go in this thread including team line-ups etc.

I'll post my thoughts on the game here also.

For anyone who's on here who cares, enjoy the game :)

    TEAM NEWS
New striker Tuncay is set to make his Bolton debut after the club finally received international clearance for him to play.

Joe Riley is expected to make his debut at right-back for Wanderers, who are without Gretar Steinsson (foot).

Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson is expected to name an unchanged team.

Waide Fairhurst (ankle), Paul Morgan (broken arm), Colin Daniel (hernia) and Vinny Mukendi (hamstring) are not yet fit enough to return.

    MATCH FACTS
    Head-to-head

    • These clubs have only met twice, and it was in the first round of the League Cup in August/September 2000. Town went through 3-2 on aggregate.

    Bolton Wanderers

    • The 1995 and 2004 losing finalists have failed to qualify for the third round once in eight seasons.

    • That was in 2008 when League One Northampton eliminated them.

    • They were last ousted by a fourth-level club in October 2002 when Bury beat them 1-0.

    Macclesfield Town

    • Town defeated Hull 2-0 at the KC Stadium in the first round; one of seven lower-league clubs to have knocked out Championship opposition.

    • They are participating in the League Cup for the 15th successive season, but never been beyond the second round.

    • They have only beaten two clubs on the road in the League Cup. Nottingham Forest (first round, 2005) was the sole victory prior to this season.

Tuncay enjoyed a fine debut as Bolton overcame a stern test from League Two side Macclesfield.

Macclesfield took an early lead when Bolton's stand-in goalkeeper Adam Bogdan hesitated to allow striker Emile Sinclair to nip in and score.

Kevin Davies came on at the break but it was Tuncay who levelled when he volleyed in a Joe Riley cross.

Tuncay then sent Martin Petrov clear down the left and the Bulgarian drove in the winner.

The 29-year-old Turkish international had been made to wait for almost two weeks for his work permit to come through in order to finalise his move from German side Wolfsburg.

He started up front alongside Robbie Blake and could have scored in the opening minutes but fired over from Petrov's cross.

And it was Macclesfield who took the lead in the 11th minute.

Tony Diagne's through-ball allowed Sinclair to sprint clear, round Bogdan, and slot into an empty net.

Blake, Darren Pratley, Chris Eagles and Zat Knight all went close before Tuncay equalised in the 56th minute with an acrobatic volley.

Extra-time was looming but Tuncay then released Petrov to race clear and fire in a late winner.
