Delightful story about Roger Moore here. Read both sections. What a lovely, decent and courteous chap Roger Moore appears to have been. Vin
Indeed, when they are OK they are not a bad drive. After we'd finally rectified the last problem of the steering I took the car out on some country roads past Rownhams and chucked it around. They certainly go where they're pointed. But, on the whole, I'd steer clear [oops, sorry]. Hope yours stays OK.
Valentino Rossi is making great progress after his accident. Is he going to miss the next round of MotoGP.? Not bloody likely, is it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/motorsport/40056483
Some very good news. Today at 1pm, Solar power, through various domestic and commercial photovoltaic systems, was producing at the rate of 8.7GigaWatts, or just under a quarter of the UK's power requirements at 24.3%, on a early sunny summer's day, which tends to demand less energy requirement. Wind power was producing just over 9.1% at the time. When you consider that photovoltaic cells across the board are pretty damn inefficient, with even the best ones only peaking out at 36% efficiency at the moment [there is promise for very much better, like 90%, in the future], that's pretty damn impressive. Let's face it, they are hardly crowding us humans out of space. It makes you think, are we nearer to el dorado, energy wise, even without the magic tricks that technological power production is promising us within the next 12-24 months.?
I'd like to go to Download one day, I've been to Graspop which is Belgiums equivelant and that was amazing. I'm going to Glastonbury this year
Sunderland mascot Bradley has not long to live according to his family. So sad, but packed a lot into his short life and showed people how to be happy.
It's when I thought I had the best idea to stop trimming the hedge half way through, by cutting the cord , the wife finds the hand shears #knackered

Gardening done (well, it's not really but I've stopped), beer in hand, girls out and me and the lad watching the Cup Final in the sun on the I-pad. Perfect
I actually did that once. I renovated a hugely neglected set of hedge trimmers and did everything that would make them cut at the top of the game. The moment I switched them on I went through the power cord. So, as it stood, if I put the plug on the end of the existing cable, I could cut the hedge, provided it was two feet away from a power socket.! In the end I used it to my advantage [you wouldn't expect me not to, surely] by putting one of those garden connecting plugs between the two cables. That meant, apart from the obvious, that the long length I'd previously cut off could be used with other garden electric tools too.
It'll soon be 48 years since I was born. Where the heck did THAT go! Edit: I've just been told by Mrs No7 who unknown to me was looking over my shoulder (how can women do that?), that 20 years of that has gone quickly as time flies when you're having fun
