FA Cup fourth round between the defending cup holders and former cup holders and once mighty Wigan. Four o clock kick off on Sunday because we're on TV, as is FA (and BBC Salford) law. I'll be honest, we could pick the youth team and should win this at a canter but will probably make ridiculously hard work of it. Interesting fact; Wiganers are known for liking their pies. Good on 'em, I do too. They've also got a pier, despite being an inland town.
I used to go clubbing there. Cracking days. I think the pie fact is better, they love a pie and rightly so. http://www.lifeofpies.co.uk/component/jaggyblog/the-top-ten-pies-in-wigan.html
WTF is happening with Martial? JM is clearly unhappy with him. He had a bad game against the RS but that should not lead to him being ignored/banned. Clearly one of our most talented players and he deserved to be persevered with.
Does seem strange, considering how **** Pogba has been last three games. I think we never really had to experience this for 27 years but what we're experiencing to a certain extent is how new managers go off the previous manager's buys.
Slightly off topic - a piece in the Torygraph about Warren Joyce's time with the Academy. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...n-paul-pogba-always-wanted-best-keeps-having/
Man Utd XI: Romero, Fosu-Mensa, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw, Fellaini, Schweinsteiger, Mkhitaryan, Mata, Martial, Rooney. Subs: Pereira, Blind, Tuanzebe, Herrera, Young, Ibrahimovic, Rashford. Winning side! Rooney or Tony M at centre forward, not sure which.
So. Apparently the stat for games vs Wigan. We scored over 60 goals to their 4 or something like that. Will mourinho do a van gaal and allow teams to break records. Surely not. Isn't the Wigan manager Joyce who coached our reserves?
That's because we're going to smash the 5hite out of them and take Romero off after half time and put Ibra on for a brace.
