I don't for a second deny that Ibra elbowed him - no doubt about it, the point is that Mings was deliberate and he was completely out of control. Someone who can snap and do that on the pitch has no place in football. Worst of all, it looks like he will serve his ban while out injured ......................

 

Jones was crap, as was Shaw, Pogba and Martial. Quite why JM has to rest our best players is beyond me - it only serves to upset the dynamic that has been built up over weeks and wipes out the confidence that the team has developed by playing together.

 

Listen fellas call me all the names you want... doom monger, pessimist whatever. But reality is I'm nothing of the sort, it's simply pointing out what's so patently obvious when it comes to our lack of goals. Our play in the final third NOT our finishing, but instead a) the lack of accuracy in our final ball or final pass, b) a lack of runners behind the defence, c) our inability to stretch defences and d) our inability to create clear cut chances in the box as a result... is what's stifling the number of goals we're scoring. That's our single biggest reason for struggling to score all season. We can dominate games, play all the attacking football in the world, but unless we're effective with our final pass, our ability to create clear cut chances, then it all becomes immaterial.

The season is littered with evidence of this over and over again. I'd go as far as to say Zlatan is part of the problem. But I'm done with this. It's like banging your head against a brick wall on here because nobody wants to discuss it. Anyway, do one thing just WATCH the final passes in the next game and count how many find their mark or just brush it off by calling me a doom monger. I'm done with this, I really have no desire to have a slanging match with anyone here.

 

This is coming from someone who wished on the PL board that both Haye and Bellew got seriously hurt. Then when he got called on it by Tobes for being a grade A prick, started backtracking saying he didn't mean it. Maybe that's what he means when he says "Mings didn't mean it"
