It's going to be very close. After Leicester next week we have Chelsea away. Then after that it's only Spurs at home left of the big teams. We don't have a bad run in at all.

EDIT: just seen you guys still have man city, man u, arsenal and Chelsea to go. Very difficult games.

Whereas palace have all the top 6 still to play!

You have Chelsea, Man Utd, Tottenham, and us away second last game of the season.

Man City and Man Utd, at home, I fancy us for points in both them games. We have a great record at home to Man City.

Ahh yes didn't see the United game. Can't see boro pulling clear and Leicester and Southampton look to be in free fall.

A battling performance and a huge improvement on what we've been used to. That would have been annhilation under Bradley.

Leicester are there for the taking and we could score a few to get our morale and confidence right up. They look like we did 6 weeks ago, dead and buried.

Gutting to lose today but there's plenty of positives. Getting back into the game being one and I could see it coming but then to lose, same as last season.
Clement's made us a backs to the wall, defend for your life then counter attack team and it's working. Would never have thought that defence, when Bob was here, could have defended like that. We lost but defensively we're a different team.

    We'll beat Leicester.

Clement said it wasn't a foul but he was highly critical of Dean in allowing City to take the free quick quickly 15 yards deeper than where it was and a rolling ball!

Fair point - despite the plaudits from some quarters I think Dean is overrated.

That because we had Bob F*****g Bradley in charge and Paul F*****g Williams as defence coach. It shows how bad they were.

Fuk sakes ... I thought I felt bad when Fernandez feathered a pass to Gomis late in the the game and he tied it up against City and ( I think Yaya ) won it for City in extra time a season or two ago but this really hurts even though we probably deserved nothing from the game .
Two massive positives for me are the law of average is catching up to Siggy as he's scored more open play goals the last 3 games than he did the previous 21 and Clements ability to recognize what wrong the first half and conform in the 2nd half .

I agree with the last paragraph but I disagree that we deserved to lose. A draw would have been fair imo

I'd agree with you Swan when we ran out on the pitch to start the 2nd half but seems City should have been ahead more than 1 - 0 after the first . I'm growing impatient with our left and right back problems and wish we would try a 3 CB back line ...3-3-3-1

I see nothing wrong with the left side of our defence, Olsson and Mawson are solid enough. It's our right side that's struggling at the moment. Naughton is decent in contributing to our attacks but is too slow to react when defending and gives far to much time to let the opponent decide if he wants to cross or dribble. Fernández is very hit and miss.

An awful first half followed by a very promising second half. And for the first time in years I'm actually confident of us getting something when we get corners or free kicks. Llorente and Mawson are a right handful in the box and we all know what delivery siggy is capable of.

I would just like to see a game with 3 CB's . when you have 2 CB's , at times , you can pick on the weaker one . when you have 3 CB's you can put your best in the center and he's always in the play .Also , having 3 players who are generally schooled in aerial battles because they are CB's can't hurt us as we have a history of aerial weakness . Fernandez , Mawson , VDH , Fer and Llorente would mean half the team are aerial specialists .

Clements got his tactics all wrong in the first half but citeh could not take much of an advantage and we got away with being 1-0 down, But the second half after Clems team talk we looked much better even though citeh were still the better team overall. I did think we would snatch a Draw against the run of play but they had Jesus on their side who was outstanding and he won the game for them.......Good but not great performance in the 2nd half saw damage limitation...5/10 for effort which would have been a bit more if it was not for the first half shambles...

I don't think the tactics were wrong I think our players didn't apply them correctly as Clement himself said. As for being lucky how many genuine strikes on goal bringing a save from the keeper did Man City actually have. Clement has used the same tactics three times in a row in the first half, as the same tactics were applied in the first 20 minutes against Southampton as well.
