Looks like it will UTD, the only English team left in the Europe league after the last 16 round.

Cant see the Spuds beating Dortmund

Hey, if you can beat Midgetland, then anything's possible.

  8. If we can't beat them, neither 'Pool nor United will, that's for certain. That being the case, what does it matter which of 'Pool or United progress?

It's a pretty hollow boast, isn't it, for two former European power-houses, winning the "We Got To The Quarter Finals Stage of the Europey" Cup!

You have to factor in the weight of history carrying us forward and then there's dodgy refs, FA intervention, Sky TV and a ****load of ex-players/current commentators somehow managing to influence play. We're also very good at pens.

Ah, but will your dodgy refs and gobshite ex-players be able to get you past Man Utd's equally dodgy ref's and ex-twats?
Will Ferguson's death stare from the stands take them through or will they all be too worried about Giggs shagging their missus?

You see UTD have the talent to beat the lot, Spuds will do an Arsenal and bottle it.

Exciting times for the manc's, they get to play a team with real European pedigree.

  16. It's going to be a fairly mundane affair, this match. It'll be like two aging, punch-drunk fighters coming out of retirement for one last grudge-match, but with absolutely no chance of contending for the belt for who ever wins.

It won't stop the BBC and Sky, of course, or the clowns on TalkShite. They'll be waxing lyrical over the entire affair, and giving it the works. It won't be until the game is over that these assholes will realise it wasn't actually the final, and that nothing has been won. The good thing, of course, is that one of the two media darlings will be put out of the equation, leaving the blinkered media with only one to pin its desperate hopes on. I'd love for us to draw the winner of this match in the quarter finals, and give them a right Royal kicking!

You are right HIAG, two teams who are really poor and have poor players compare to what they use to watch. It will have little quality with one team beating the other probably by the odd goal other 2 legs. Watched the two league games and both teams have their up and down days but at the moment its 50/50 between them.... result, penalties over 2 legs maybe.

And in the meantime Spurs will have been knocked out by Dortmund.
