The ex Orient manager John Sitton would be ideal For those who are unaware, have a look at his classic dressing room scene on You Tube - a classic
They're going about it all wrong. They should not be looking at "who available" they should be going: "We need a good manager that'll bring stability and bring back the fans." But seriously, what self-respecting manager would want to work with the Belgian megalomaniacs.
The last line is a given but once somebody sees the chance of a 2-3 year contract and only doing 12 weeks, then self respect goes quicker than a porky out of the squirrels mouth..
Statement on the OS from the new Head of Comms- The club has moved to keep the fans informed on developments: they have received numerous applications and are interviewing candidates with a view to picking the best one. Well it's good to be so well informed, this new Head of Comms is a mine of information.
Now give it to JJ. We know the team is half way there. No doubt RD thinks this is O'loughlin(sp) now though. Question should rightly be asked whether the team played for Slade - the last two games suggest no
And they won't play for O'Loughlin. I like the nickname Congo Chris which some have given him, it'll do for me.
After tonights victory I reckon they'll stall on giving the job to the scouser to see what happens on Saturday. We beat United and Nugent will be installed, nailed on.
Update on Slade. Still in same underpants and hat. Currently washing down a pint of Bombay potatoes with a keema naan, whilst listening to que sera que sera.
Cawley has been saying Robinson has signed up after talks with RD in Paris. I personally loathe Karl Robinson and have done since our first season in League One. He's a sulky, arrogant nobhead. A manager who was relegated last season and sacked just 4 weeks ago for potential relegation doesn't seem like a good choice; but he's young and has been a 'hot prsopsect' - more importantly he has a point to prove. As tonight shows we do have the makings of an decent XI and I seem to recall his MK side often played good attacking football against us; maybe this can be a good fit? Also he's got a good record with youngsters; here's hoping he can keep hold of Lookman...
Academic anyway, seems Robinson has been offered job and accepted it (to be announced this afternoon with Robinson at the Valley holding up Charlton scarf)..... I'll give him until October 2017 before the Douche sacks him
Having just seen our goals from last night on Sky, it looks like we finally had the rub of the green with 3 deflections
Sheffield Utd will bring us back to earth on Saturday. The protests might be a bit muted after this result, but they shouldn't be. The club is still getting deeper and deeper in the brown stuff.
Robinson told a Charlton fan at Bristol Rovers last night that the "Saturday protests have got to stop". Bad start
He's unpopular before saying that, and before he's even started the job he's made himself even more unpopular!
BDL has revealed that Robinson told him last season that Charlton are a basket case club who are only going one way. Looks like he knows what to expect, and must already be looking forward to his pay-off.
