Todays game is now history. Move on to next week when we have a chance to get something. Not too disappointed as Swansea lost. UTT.
Swansea lost a game they needed to get at least a point from (probably all three). Boro drew a must win game. So while getting one of our toughest games out of the way we've hardly lost any ground on our closest rivals. That's a real bonus and if Arsenal beat Palace tomorrow it's almost 'as you were' on a weekend when we should have dropped back into the drop zone.
Well I wouldn't make much money if I didn't. If it works for you then fine, don't call me out for doing it, I'd rather be realistic and richer.
That's right Also the gulf between us and Man City was obvious today. We didn't get a sniff of the ball for long periods, so I doubt the player's morale will be too dented by the result.
a -2 goal deficit against Man Citeh aint a bad result at all, at 3-0 and 20 mins left I feared the worst, but credit to the lads for digging in and getting a goal back.... My thoughts are if we stay up (the great escape is still in our hands) and Silva remains, I think games like these next season could be a much closer affair. As I said earlier Clucas remains available now due to astute managing, Thudd is back for the next game, McGuire will hopefully be fit, Swansea lose, Boro draw without scoring again, so all we need is Manure to turn over Slumberland and all is good. My only gripe is the right back position, Elmo isn`t a right back as long as I`ve got a hole in me arse, I don`t know what the issue is with Al Dabby Dabby Doo, but when Meyler played right back earlier this season he did a great job, plus he seems to enjoy the physical side of things, something that Elmo is badly lacking. Might be worth putting Meyler in at right back to shore things up a bit. Dare to dream Tiger Army, we`re still in this fighting.
I agree about Elmo, but how do you rate Robbo defensively? Almost all of Citeh's attacks came down our left today (as have a lot of teams we've played this season). Are they targeting him? Don't get me wrong, I think he's an asset for his attacking ability and on his day he's one of our best players, but he isn't a dominant defender.
I thought it wasn't to bad in the first half. We gifted them a goal. at 2-0 they relaxed and played without pressure and looked great at times hence the class difference. We also could quite easily have gone in at 1-1.
I harbour no ill feelings toward you. I don't bet because I think I'm going to make much money from it, it just makes games slightly more interesting, so not betting against City is a rule easily kept.
That wasn't Robbo's fault at all today. They had set up with Navas as a wing back really, overlapping constantly with Sterling cutting inside. Robbo has to focus on Sterling and Grosicki didn't do a good enough job tracking back with Navas.
Best team won,so result more or less as expected. Our season was never really about the likes of Man C away,Stoke next week however is a different kettle of fish and I would be amazed if it's not already being targeted by Silva. Hudds will be back in contention, maybe even Harry whilst Pappa Ehaw will have hoped Hernandez did not fall to heavily at Aintree today.
