The last manager to guide us to an F.A. Cup final https://www.safc.com/history/managers/24-malcolm-crosby might mean feck all to some, but I was drinking with him last night, at the Alum House (the best pub in 'Sheels, I think). He still goes to our matches (including last week at Watford) and has fond memories of his time with us. He's a Sandy and, like me, he's got his ticket to see The Mariners (they might be better than us at the moment ) at Wembley next month, too He seems to be a canny lad, and my memories of getting, and going, to Wembley in 1992 were rekindled
He kept us up also that year, Liverpool had the luck. 2 f a cup finals in 70 years that says a lot. Arsenal are going for a 7th under Wenger !
I'm alright, my usual humorous dry scathing self. How's yourself? Letterbox sprung into life with the late cards yet?
Good, good. Got them all on the day man, just a bit late is all. My sister is never on time but she stuck 30 notes in it. Got a late one off my cousin who lives in London. My now ex bought me a very nice watch too. Had all the family around with plenty of food & drink. Had a cracking night.
Feck off. Shields is the birthplace of many a fine person. And me! I too shall be at Wembers next month, supporting Joooolio and the Burnley lookalikes
You shouldn't take him seriously, Sid 'Sheels won 1-0 at North Shields this afternoon, which confirmed promotion, after playing the last 35 minutes with 10 men . . . . 'cos Hoolioooo was sent off
