Haven't seen it but apparently it's a fine goal as we beat West Brom on 7-6 on pens after a 1-1 draw in Hong Kong pre-season competition.
Edge of the box - just left of centre. Space made by a brilliant off the ball run by Shinji. Second half was as boring as (insert word here)

Was gunna say this, theirs was better Credit to Mahrez for a good performance, whether hes putting himself in the shop window or not, its our gain when he plays well. Slimani was quite industrious today too, didn't see any player that looked dis-interested.
Was never going to be a great game, especially with the condition of the pitch. Main thing, like Shaky said is that the majority of the outfield players got 45 mins playing time. Liverpool in the final.
I was really impressed with Iborra and Mahrez looked up for it. But was he playing for us or for a move Iborra break the play down well and passes the ball very well
442 for the majority but when we went with King, Drinkwater, Iborra and Albrighton we sort of went with 3 centre mids and a right winger which isnt really a formation
Looked to me like the second half was this; Hamer Simpson Morgan Moore Iborra Albrighton Drinkwater King Fuchs Vardy Ulloa
I would probably agree West Brom didnt really trouble us enough to see what our defensive shape actually was
Mahrez is obviously aware that the more he impresses the more suitors he will have - but this is the guy that will stop to have a kick about with kids in the street ... he just loves to play football. He is an incredible talent and better players around him will undoubtedly enable him to showcase such talent. The 'quality' in our squad is now a lot better than it was at the beginning of last season - some great additions and growing maturity in the young players starting to break in to the first team.
Agree..... Iborra and Maguire are quality. You could see that against West Brom. Will be great to finally have a big central defender that is good on the ball and comfortable bringing it out of defense rather than hoofing it. More technical ability now in the middle of the park too with Iborra. hopefully will improve our ball retention, which has always been a gripe of mine with following Leicester. give the ball away too easily. This is in addition to the quality players coming back from injury (James) and those returning from loan spells (Lawrence/Barnes). Incredibly bright future at Leicester. new season cannot come quickly enough for me.
Harvey Barnes signed a new 4 year deal today He sounds like one of the best players to come out of our academy in a very long time along with Chilwell But I think he would be best off going out on loan to a Championship side.
I'd like to keep him with the first team in the squad if possible and see if he gets opportunities during August. If he's not looking like getting many minutes he can be loaned out I think immediately after the transfer window closes when premier league teams name their squads. Southampton don't hold back putting their youngsters in the first team so I'd hope we could give him a chance
I think its fair to say his time with us will be "limited" at best, think i'd rather he went out on loan for the season at Championship level and come back like Lawrence next year.
