Just seen this. Apparently they've stopped looking at Thorgen Hazard and are keen to do a deal. I hope Rafa has a replacement lined up. A good one. Maybe Sturridge?
Lucas Perez from Arsenal must be worth looking at. Reports say he wants to leave the club. For me Sturbridge is just as big a gamble as keeping Mitro and doing a wait and see if he comes good excersise. Don't want Bony either, to lethargic and doesn't try hard enough when things are not going right. We need a player who can cut it in the PL and has that hunger to achieve. Mitro has the hunger, but does he have the skill and class, l am not sure he does.
I can see this happening. I dont think Rafa trusts him and the fact that we may get what we paid for him back is a bonus. No doubt there is something there, but I think his biggest problem is his temper. He will score goals and he does unsettle defenders but he is not the type of player that Rafa wants leading the line. Bye bye Mitro you crazy son of a gun!
Spot on I'd try Perez in a heartbeat, don't think he got a fair crack of the whip at Arsenal With Mitro though I think we forget his age and potential, It's a shame his game doesn't fit the Benitez philosophy and he's always a brain fart away from a red card. Sadly we aren't in the position to develop him, we need the money and his wages are frankly stupid for what he's achieved so far. I'd like us to get in a player with potential but, looking at today's rates for very average players, hat can he another thing to look at again next season For now I'd take Perez or Stuzza, possibly. But you're right, him and Gayle gets injured what we got? Perez? Bony i never want to see in our team, just don't think he's got the required work rate for a relegation battle and genuinely don't see him recapturing Swansea form
Sturridge and Bony no thanks. Mitro is still one I'd keep, has passion and wants to play for us but Rafa needs to give him a fair crack of the whip in his favoured position, not 10 mins here and there. Lets remember he is scoring regular for Serbia at International level.
Certainly hope and expect us to sign a good striker and keep Gayle but Rafa will want 3 strikers. Who are we going to get to be third choice that is better than Mitro who also gives us the big man option which Rafa doesn't use as a starter but isn't averse to as an option if needed.
And brief goal highlights from the Captain's favourite tv company. http://www.skysports.com/watch/vide...ty/10963362/highlights-bradford-0-4-newcastle
Went to the match tnyt and liked the look of mitro, also saw good link ups from De Jong. If that lad can get his shooting boots on for prem.he'll be laughing, over time I've noticed he's got that incredible lampard movement and comes in late to create space when the keepers already off his line. If you've got the finishing its unreal. Noticed Mbemba getting on towards the end n all, do we really think he and Mitro's on the way out, or more media bullshit? Shelvey's passing was on point, Yedders lively. Despite not scoring in first half we had chance after chance, shelvey had a disallowed goal where he ghosted 3 players and outside footed it near the byline, apparently a hand ball!?!?!? Also played about 6 inch perfect Hollywood balls. All in all good show, off the back of that my only big concerns were Hayden was non-existant and Gayle looked lost. But **** it its a friendly, probably means **** towards this season
Good with Gayle tho, he can have a game where it doesn't happen for him yet he still scores. That's what top strikers do.
I watched it on the highlights from Groot and can honestly say it was one of the worst goals I have ever seen. Looked like he was pushed by the defender, fell over and the ball hit him and crept in. Twenty more of those this season though and I will be happy.
To be fair there's not a lot that can go wrong in a 6 inch pass. Unless I've read that wrong and you mean he's got a 6 inch cock with perfect 'Hollywood' balls.
