Yes saying the ref is against you is implying bias. No big deal, you are not allowed say the ref is for you either.
With an FA fine an absolute certainty, that's the profit from the pies at the next home game blown. Otherwise, normal service will be resumed
After the first tie against League Two Cambridge, Van Gaal told the BBC's Match of the Day: "Every aspect of a match is against us - the pitch, the referee."
Every time I hear a United fan moan about BBC Liverpool bias, or Liverpool fans moaning about Salford bias, or a Chelsea fan moan that the media hate us.....my eyes roll so hard they pop out the back of my head and form their own baton spinning, spartanettes dance team
If the FA are consistent it will be a warning as it's his first offence. Wait, did I just use "the FA" and "consistent" in the same sentence?
I give you United/Livpl/Chelsea fans.... and raise you the Arsenal fans. Who think the whole world is against them. You need to rip your eyes out with a pitch fork to deal with their paranoia.
To be fair to LVG this is the first time he's had a pop at a referee. He shouldn't have said it, but you can understand him thinking that. A minnow is always going to get the rub of the green off the officials in there own ground, it's just normal. Mourinho has said much worse this season, by claiming there was a campaign against Chelsea and he's got off scot free, so clearly there is no consistency as far as we are concerned if LVG has been charged
Yep, that one was funny as ****. In the press conference prior to a Chelsea match (IIRC) he said it was a good job we had a strong ref for the game. The FA immediately charged him because apparently managers are not allowed to say anything about the ref before the match. It was then immediately pointed out in the media that the then Chelsea manager (Ancelotti I think) had made similar comments about the ref the day before SAF did, and also that a few other managers had made similar comments in their pre match press conferences that same week. Cue yet another embarrassing episode for the FA as they dropped the charges and instead sent letters to SAF and every other manager in the league warning them about yet another obscure rule which had been broken frequently, but never enforced until it was broken by someone from Utd. #consistency
LVG has decided to contest the charge. Van Gaal said: "In 30 years as a trainer-coach, I've never been charged. I do not think I said something wrong." What a nutter lol. There is a maverick side to Van Gaal I quite like
