Not a lot of our players have gone out on loan this season, but it's somewhere to discuss them. First up? Onomah's contributions against Colchester in the League Cup: Some good touches, carries the ball well and pull of some decent passes in the 2nd half.
Went to MK Dons V Gillingham on Saturday first time I have seen Connor Ogilvie - I thought he did well in what looks to be a poor Gillingham team. MK weren't much better but Connor looked a strong player used the ball well, got up and down effectively playing as a left wing back in what was definitely a back 5, he was often the out ball for the midfielders and was probably Gills best player.
Anton Walkes scores again for Atlanta Still waiting for a better quality clip of CCV's goal from the other night though...
Josh Onomah came on as a sub for Villa this evening and scored their 4th of the night two minutes later. They're slowly creeping up the table and Bruce seems to have instilled a bit of confidence in his squad. Could work out to be a good move for the youngster.
Best not tell them that the BBC can't tell one black player whose name ends in an h from another then...
Interesting definition of the word "interview" by the Birmingham Mail regarding Janssen turning down Kvetch Brom "I could have joined West Brom or Brighton...What would have happened had I joined one of them? I do not want to think about it...I do not think about it." That is the interview in its entirety.
Josh Onomah's contributions to Aston Villa's 2-1 win over Fulham: Playing a little too high up the pitch, for me. Villa fans seem very positive about him, though.
It's nice to see that his Spurs training hasn't worn off, yet. I'm glad that nobody on here is trying to keep track of our nutmegs.
Interesting article about Atlanta where Anton Walkes is: His quote: English defender Walkes, 20, says he had no reservations over his loan move. "I could tell the ambition of the club was to get in the position where we are now, and push on," he said. "I saw the ambition and it was something I was keen on straight away. "The first time I got there I was lost for words. You are making lifelong memories which will stick with you until you are an old man." Full article http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41726695
Josh Onomah played the full 90 mins of the goalless Brummie derby today. Looks like he's becoming an increasingly permanent fixture in Bruce's plans having started the season as more of a squad player. Pleased for the lad.
Was prepared to put a real shift in too. If he comes back to us this season in the championship could be the making of him.
Brilliant work. Great interception, made the right run, didn't panic and picked out the right pass. SEASONED INTERNATIONAL Robert Snodgrass got the assist for their first, too. Finished 2-0.
Doesn't look particularly happy about it though, does he . Villa up into the play off places. Would be superb if he can experience promotion and a win-win for us. We'd get a decent fee if he chose to move on, and a battle-hardened player if he decides to return.
Carter-Vickers got an assist for Sheffield United's second goal, as they came from behind to win 4-1 against Hull: The teams were two divisions apart last season. Sheffield United are now 2nd in the table and Hull are down in 20th.
CCV not having the best of games for Sheffield United this evening, as he was badly out of position for both of Ryan Sessegnon's goals
