That wasn't the point...but hey ho. Can't be arsed to go around in circles about it. In a nutshell for those finding it difficult to understand the point. Players playing for the manager, manager making the right decisions etc. The criticisms thrown at LJ. In Burnleys case, At Home, the above must be true. Away not true........
I sometimes despair of your interpretation of the English language .. with "WE" you immediately confound yourself with a singular interpretation .. possessive, I am with all the management .. NOW you look a upon "his players" as he being solely responsible for them all of them being sourced ... he is not ... his players are no different than that for 95% of all the managers in the top 92 teams they are the players who he has to pick from, ... he has not been solely responsible for their arrival, do you think he has spent hours and hours off to the continent .wandering the uk watching and selecting from a likely 300 +candidates the 19 that have arrived? no, there is not enough days in the year let alone the days he has been here, his ...is the squad that has been assembled in the time he has been here .. but yes he has had a say .... and yes his it what he picks from ... your emphasis on The players are now his players ..well they are the group he selects from ...and is likely to buy at least 3 more in the summer.....
taking time to read , sometimes reread, posts you do get the impression in some threads of not reading to understand it person is pedantic they can never be wrong their answer is there before they finish reading it are repetitive until they grasp another angle, then able to weave into their thread a bit of info from another thread that helps them to "dig themselves out of a hole" etc etc but that is what forums are ...we are all guilty in different respects
Yes it is the point. Burnley is smaller than Swindon. Its Kingswood to Bristol. Teams win more at home even the Chelseas. In Burnleys case I would not have been surprised to see them go down comically like Swindon did years back. They still may go down but they are putting up more fight than City do against bigger odds. Dont see what it is you do not get.
Who's asking what's bigger or whats smaller? Not me......I just asked a simple question, obviously you and cliftonville find very difficult to understand questions.....
Hasn't that changed to SOD? And Steve Cotterill? Why was Steve Cotterill the Manger and now we have a Head coach?
Brilliant Burnley losing to non league. Oh how LJ would have been slaughtered for that! So question again.. is that down to the manager or players?
Full marks to Lincoln City and after watching them beat Ipswich they thoroughly deserve to be where they are, so good luck to the Imps in the next round.
It's so nice to see the smaller clubs having their days and a refreshing change from all the negativity surrounding the game. I can vaguely remember going to Huish Park to see some of Yeovil's successes against top teams back in their non-league times.
1For, take off Junior's sunglasses. How about non league Lincoln doing what we couldn't. Manager or players ?
The football I saw Lincoln play against Brighton was outstanding. That's what we'll structured, well drilled, players playing for their manager, fans and themselves look like. We simply don't have any of that at the moment.
Redprintt really?? You having a laugh? If that would have been against us.....the crap you would have given Junior would not have been broadcast-able before 9pm.. By the way, the defending by Burnley for Lincoln's goal was shocking. far from disciplined or organised.
