Wonder how long the China thing will run. The government over there are already suggesting they'll put a lid on it.

I think china is an oilgarchy not a communist state.

    There are three things

    1. the Chinese abroad are still throwing wads of cash money about buying stuff.

    2. the Chinese state are still buying up assets globally left and right.

    3. Its all about vanity. football clubs can never afford 800k per week to a child like alli but the stories about what oscar got of 350k a week and 60mil in chelsea's back pocket suggest that there is a real level of mega money there. they will buy who they buy but in reality real, barca and city as well as cheslea and utd have splash silly wages at stars too. we are all only shocked at WHO the chinese are throwing it at.

IMO It will take at least 5 years to establish enough or a real player to go there. Once word about the lifestyle gets back form these early hacks then we will see. If the lifestyle is party party party a lot will go. Its like robisho turning up at city not knowing where he was at this point. If word form china is that the city's are lovely and the parties and girls and astounding there will be a flood of players going.

oh and 75% of it is entirely down to agents waffling. its an ideal link to make to get attention for your player.

Eddie Howe brands Jordon Ibe a ‘disappointment’ after £15m Liverpool transfer
Liverpool are free to make a move for former Real Madrid man Jese Rodriguez, report Calciomercato.

The 23-year-old moved to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer but has only made one league start for the French side and is believed to already be on his way out.

Not surprised with Ibe, his attitude is his downfall.

As for Jese, not too sure. Didn't think much of him at Madrid

worked in China. Hated it.......but then I wasn't earning the money these guys will!

There is serious wealth over there but it's made on the back of a billion plus poor workers. I can see the government getting nervous at the pure decadence of what's happening with football.

Excellent news. Although I have little care about the money thrown around by football clubs, it's quite refreshing that we are where we are with the current business model. Just don't like seeing so much money wasted, what's our net spend under Klopp now?

There is already a sort of cap on Chinese clubs, not on fees or wages, but each club is only allowed 4 foreign players one of which has to be an Asian (or Aussie).

sounds nice. the 4 foreigners stick to themselves debating what to spend their vast wealth on while the home players scratch a living.

    very MLS of them

Everyone coming back from injury....looks like we won't be spending much at all. Feels much like this time last year!

No Mane = no pace. Think we might struggle with that.

Mamadou Sakho will look to make a decision on his future within the next 48 hours as he aims to re-launch his stalled career.

Southampton are also a possible alternative and Sakho is understood to be attracted to the idea of moving to the South Coast.

according to all reports he has many options... or guys looking for a cheap deal in other words

He will be looking for a pay rise on his 75k per week that he's got for doing nothing.

You'd be shocked at how many clubs won't go near that wages even in this tv era.
