I agree why can't they - Leicester won it last year and player for player this Liverpool team is as good as Leicester were. They have played 4 very good matches so far (and they weren't bad in the one they lost). Personally I think that City will win the league, but if someone was to come out of the pack to mount a challenge from what we have seen so far Liverpool may be that team
They can win it - but with that defence it's unlikely. I bumped up the thread because it seems this is an annual topic of discussion around Sept/Oct (before reality kicks in)
If they don't win it it will be because of bad/bent refs, David Gill, the FA, the ex-managers purchases or some other thing that belongs in a conspiracy theory thread. They never finish 7th or 8th because they are not good enough to finish higher
They definitely can. looks like a repeat of the SSS season. Very lethal in attack. I wish went in for Mane ourselves. No European distractions. Recipe for success. If anyone can knock Man City off of their form, I'm sure Liverpool will be there or thereabouts to capitalize. Why not?
They've had some good results against Arsenal, Leicester and Chelsea. Leicester were God awful, like West Ham bad. Arsenal like to lose a home game early doors, just to upset the punters a bit. Chelsea without the Leader, Racist, Scumbag are significantly weaker than when he's on the pitch. We were poor and got a point. The Burnley result will be a concern as will the 'open door' defensive policy. They can't fail to have a better league position at the end of this season. Win it? Probably not although no EL is a big benefit and top 4 is a possibility.
