Gary is a legend to our football club, the city and football as a whole.

Legend he may be but what the F**k has he got to do with the Olympics ? surely it should be some athlete not a one time footballer/ pundit.

 

Will be hosting some of the events for the BBC - also it wasn't the case where he was asked to do it like Will.i.am was for cheap publicity, he was actually nominated by people from Leicester.

Same with how Drogba ran with the flame - was nominated but couldn't make the day when the torch goes through London so he ran through some random town.

 

... Football is an olympic sport but, and more importantly, Gary Lineker's ears have ensured that, in silhouette, he is the closest human representation of the Olympics rings silhouette ... see .... you haven't thought it through, have you?

As someone who supports Leicester and has met Gary Lineker on more than one occasion let me say that PattyNchips is right. The man was a great player for Leicester but he is an arrogant ****er with no regard for anything but his self promotion. Will.I.Am carried the torch because he was asked and it publicised the Olympics - Gary Lineker carried the torch because he was asked and it got himself in the papers. He was my original Leicester City legend watching from the Spion Kop but please dont be fooled people, he really is an arsehole

Gary was put in local newspapers and he ran at 10 to 8. He was voted to do it and he did.

Will.I.Am was put in worldwide newspapers and he ran with a hell of a lot of paparazzi following him. He did it because he was asked.



Which one do you think did it because it would be an honour and which did it for the fame?

 

I find that very hard to believe. Stories i have heard about him, what he has done in his career and how he comes across on TV and Twitter. He is a true gent

In fairness, I've looked at his history and he may well be a Leicester fan. He joined over a year ago and did a friendly review last summer. Odd though, maybe he just REALLY hates Lineker!

 

He's a right embarrassing twat doing those crisp commercials especially the "groovy kinda love" one
