    <laugh> You plum

I've answered the question. Chelsea's success was arbitrary. I've pointed out several times why that is.

The rumours at the time were saying that if Abramovich hadn't got involved Chelsea were within two weeks of going into administration so I suppose it could be said without his money Chelsea wouldn't have had the success they have over the last ten years.I must say I do find it funny that when it comes to discussing a team's success Chelsea fans only want to talk about the last ten years.

I don't care why you think it is, that's nothing to do with what I asked.

The question was... Is it a fact or opinion that it's arbitrary. You appear to be sticking to saying it's a fact. Which makes you a moron.

A very Aresnal solution would be to let Ozil go to pay for Sanchez wages.

You could argue that without Roman's rubles, Chelsea might not even exist.

It certainly could be argued that that may have been the case. Possibly they could have done a deal with MK dons and formed a new SW London club. Wimblesea FC

So to clarify one final time, you're actually going to say the statements below are both facts?

Q1) "Chelsea's success under Roman is arbitrary"

    Q2) "Without Roman's rubles, Chelsea wouldn't exist"

You've never stated they were facts? You will simply never admit you're wrong and just go around in circles finding any nuance of the English language to find a way in which you can worm out of it by saying you never actually said things.

I've have already stated in a previous post that at the time of Abramovich's purchase of Chelsea the rumours were that Chelsea were within two weeks of going to administration so it is possible that without Abramovich's roubles Chelsea would not exist now.

Yes I read that... and it still doesn't make it a fact.

You either believe what was being reported in the media at the time or you don't.
Did you believe the stories at the time ?

I thought this thread was about Alexis?

Soo far we've gone from.. Me arguing I don't think footballers are particularly overpaid to Cini65 defending Chelseas approach to spending (far more vehemently than he would ever defend Arsene I might add <laugh>).

Soo Alexis. He staying at Arsenal right?

I don't want to worry people but I was reading an article by Keenos on She Wore.com a few days ago and apparently Alexis has never signed a second contract at any club

I'm vehemently defending posters against having nonsense spouted at them by piskie. That it happened to be about Chelsea was coincidental. And of course I won't defend Arsene that much ever anymore, he doesn't warrant it.

I could moan if you wanted? I post little these days because the board is dead and there's only about five people to chat football with, one of which is PISKIE, so really it's only four to have sensible chats with. Match day threads have maybe six posts on by half time most match days? Liverpool and Spurs have pages and pages of posts on match threads even before kick off. So many posters from this board have been shunted away, making it an arid desert of chat. Yes, many of them might have been aggressive and chatted rubbish and there were heated arguments, but this board was far more lively when Toledo, NotPCEnough (was that his username??), Arsenal87 et al were posting freely and frequently.

    We need a recruitment drive.

PS. We should have a arsenal board fantasy football league. I know 15 games are gone but we could technically set one up now and start points from this week. Who's up for it?
