It's not the age of the dog , it's how he ages .
It's not just how well a player plays his role on a team ,
It's how he enhances everyone else's mind and soul by his presence .
From being 90 minutes away from dropping to the Conference ,
To the relegation battle to get to our 7th season in the Premier ,
I doubt there is a more valuable player to any team in the Leagues ,
Than Leon Britton has been to the way we play at SCFC.
More of a hero to me than an athlete .
Keep bringing it , we need you more now than ever sir .
    ( Applause ).

Well said Breezy, Dai had him written off, and past it, yet his first game back he's MOTM, and again he was pivotal in the game yesterday, against Everton. He is Mr Swansea, and I hope that Clement has come to realise his importance now.........<ok>

Leon may be small in stature, but he is destined to go down as one of the giants of Swansea City Football Club, what a legend..............<ok>

To steal what Douglas Bader reputedly said (about himself) in Colditz

    "They think I know nothing. They're wrong, I know Fu*k All" ......... <laugh><laugh><laugh>

I realise we aren't out of the woods yet , but it seems everytime were deep in it Britton is called off the " Forgotten " part of the bench as a last resort and suddenly we can see a clearing through the trees . I listened to some say he was out of his League when we made it to the Championship , even more when we made it to the Premier and even more as he grew old in the Premier . Well folks , he has proved many , many people wrong . The biggest thing I take from Britton and use to improve myself in sports I continue to play is tenacity . Britton is like a dog after a frisbie when chasing down attackers , there is no give up in him .

Many people talk about players at different clubs being legends, far to quickly and without actually doing much to get that accolade. Leon can only be described as that and nothing else. the guy is class both on and off the pitch and a credit to Swansea city. If only he was only 25. It makes me laugh every time a new manager comes in Leon tends to get left out, maybe because of his age. Then it is no coincidence within 4 or 5 games the managers realise they have to play him and every week he is up there as one of our best players.

The guy is pure class and we as a club have been lucky to have him and I as a fan have been very lucky to have watched him play.

No, wont be renewing, £500 to be spent else where. Rather than giving it to the Yanks. Will now be watching from afar from the end of this season.

Sorry to hear that , a bad ticket situation is better than a no ticket situation . I'd cut off my left foot to go to games ..( pun intended )

Who's idea was it for the players to pay for the away tickets ? ... Well , it was none other than Leon Britton ...WOW , what a shocker .
Clement on Britton " The fact is that he didn't play till the Stoke game , yet remained professional and supported the players and did that when he was out of the Squad " ..Tell us something we didn't know Paul ..lol . My hope over the next decade or so is Leon Britton will become the new Alan Curtis , only smaller and better .

Clement has admitted he should have brought in Leon sooner!!

The 34-year-old is a manager’s dream in every sense and Clement is honest enough to admit that he now regrets not turning to the midfielder before. “Maybe Watford was the game I should have put Leon in,” Clement says, referring to the 1-0 defeat at Vicarage Road, a week prior to the Stoke match. “I used Jay [Fulton] in that game. Jay had experience of doing a job in the first team and the decision was that Watford are a big physical side. I am not saying that was the right thing to do as in fact when we’ve had Leon, Ki Sung-yueng and Tom Carroll in the midfield, it is not a big, really physical midfield but they are good footballers and they can play around people. So I was probably one game too late with Leon.”

    Suck it up Dai!...............:1980_boogie_down:...:emoticon-0165-muscl

4 games in a row Britton has come in for his first action with Clement , 4 clean sheets ( sorry folks , not only did Fab not foul Rashford , Rashford should have received a card for actually kicking our keeper and I will NEVER recognise it as a goal ) 10 points from a possible 12 . Like I said in the intro , it's just not the role you play on the team , it's how you enhance everyone else by your presence .
