Well then ladies and gentlemen, we've achieved our goal of promotion and we now enter what promises to be the most wild and exciting transfer window since the era of Sven Goran Eriksson (and hopefully we arrive at a better outcome ). So, this thread will be stickied and will be the place to be when discussing potential ins and outs and who you'd like to see pull on the famous royal blue come August. Rumours will be coloured red, rumours from decent sources will be coloured orange and completed transfers will be coloured in green. I call upon the non606 Leicester contingent to keep this as up to date as possible. Hopefully, come September 1st, we can look back on this and laugh at what we missed out on or what we thankfully avoided. All names below are hotlinks to the source the rumour originates from. TRANSFERS IN Kagisho Dikgacoi Molla Wagué Majeed Waris Luciano Vietto Ben Hamer Julian Speroni Craig Gardner Sam Vince Chris Commons Ross McCormack Daryl Janmaat TRANSFERS OUT Liam Moore to Manchester United
Dikgacoi? http://www.teamtalk.com/hull-city/9260358/- http://footballleagueworld.com/2014/04/11/leicester-city-line-up-move-for-crystal-palace-midfielder/
http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ikgacois-contract-situation-at-crystal-palace We were linked with him in december, his contract runs out at the end of the season. I think he'd be a good addition. Would be good to have him for away games where we'd need to pack the midfield up against some of the better footballing sides. He's a bit of a midfield general.
Championship players i would look at Tom Ince- Only on loan at Palace, he will be a free agent in the summer Aaron Cresswell- best left back in the league IMO Jordan Rhodes- Only if the price is right but i highly suspect it wont Mark Davies- Proven class in the prem. Just a case of injuries Ross McCormack- had 2 great seasons for Leeds. Wouldnt break the bank and might be now or never for him if he wants to play in the prem Rudi Austin- Bossed our midfield at the KP and looks like a player who can add some steel to the midfield Obviously i not saying sign them all but there all players that I think could add something to what we have
Liam Moore ??? he´d be very stupid to go to Manc Poo & sit on the bench. They´ve got to be looking at more experienced players too ain´t they ? DM can´t risk having a bad start next season or it´s curtains for you David my dear. Anyway LC/NP would be stupid to let him (a local lad) leave before playing for us in the prem´ship, 1 good season & it´s double your money on him.
I´d have him Yesterday. He won´t be going back to Blackpool that´s for sure & a free agent too . Inch & Schmeichel... I feel 20 odd again... shame I ain´t though.
Tom Ince is someone i'd puch the boat out for. EDIT: But a quick google search tells me we've no hope http://www.winnersports.co.uk/tom-i...ootsteps-of-his-father-by-joining-inter-32827
The fact he has struggled for a Palace means the Inter move is unlikely IMO It's an old rumour and something I think his dad will advise against. He told him not to go back to Liverpool and he had a big say in him joining Palace I think he might even know Nigel from the England youth set up
Players I would look at from the clubs who are possibly getting relegated. Cardiff Steven Caulker- Would cost a bit but would be worth every penny David Marshall- If we lose Kasper then Marshall has proven himself in the prem this season Craig Noone- He has been superb for Cardiff, their best attacking player by some way Fulham Scott Parker- Proven to be one of the most reliable performers in the Premier League. He would add some experience to the midfield Norwich Robert Snodgrass- Everyone could see his quality from his time at Leeds and he has carried that on into the Premier League Nathan Redmond- He started the season extremely well and he could be Lloyd Dyer's long term replacement Sunderland Phil Bardsley- He will be a free agent in the summer and after falling out with Paulo Di Canio he came back into the side and been their best player Liam Bridcutt- He has just signed for Sunderland from Brighton but he is a superb player. Swansea Michel Vorm- Quality keeper who could be a target Ashley Williams- Class defender who Paulo Sousa tried to sign for us. Neil Taylor- Up until his injury he didnt look out of place in the Prem Leon Britton- Someone who would add experience. He had the highest pass completion rate in Europe last season West Brom Ben Foster- Another keeper proven in the Premier League that could be a target if Kasper leaves Yousouf Mulumbu- He would add some muscle and Premier League experience to our midfield
More than likely we wouldn´t, but these are the sort of players we could do with. I´ve noticed there are alot of players that wil be ´on the move` from prem clubs because they don´t get the mins on the pitch or they´ll be going down & want to stay in the prem. With the money we´ve got & we´ll get for getting promoted we should be able to pick a few up. Like you say though wages will be a problem. Those that took us up won´t be happy if Joe bloggs & John Doe turn up on 3 times more money. I´m sure NP will have his plan & build a team good enough to stay up. NP needs to do a sort of MO`N in the transfer market I think. "UTPF" (up the promoted foxes)
You should be way aout putting too much stock in the whole "Premier League Experience" thing. It's not really all that necessary.
Did you mean "wary about". I only added it to the title because we're likely to be linked with everyone under the sun.
As ever under Nigel we rarely get linked with the players until a deal is nearly over the line. So newspaper are guessing most of the time
