    just back from the game
were we worth the win yes we were.
did we dominate the game well not really.
Bristol were not that bad a side.also our midfield namely viera gave the ball away too much.
the question i need to ask though is what does sacko do ?.
is he a human statue because he does not run with the ball.there is no end product from him.
pontus was immense once again and bartley played well.
the defence is not the problem .
i enjoyed the game but bristol created lots of chances.rob green saved us today.

    We were very fortunate tonight.

Bristol had the better chances and moved the ball well. They had a class act at left back, don't know who he is but love him to come and join us.

Rob Green saved us. He was 9.9 out of 10 tonight, maybe not spectacular but very very good.

Listening to fans after saying we should have won 3 or 4 nil I sometimes wonder what they were watching. How many good chances did we create ? Can't think of any. How many good saves did their keeper make ? Can't think of any. If Bristol had got a goal back sooner I'm sure we would have been hanging on for dear life and who knows how it would have ended up.

On the massive plus side we won and at the end of the day that's all that matters. Good to see Sacko back in favour, ok he frustrates massively but his pace gets us up the pitch. he stretches their defence creating space for others to play. Without him we play square and backwards far too much. Remember every time he gets to the byline and there is no end product at least he has worked the opposition all the way back. That's the back four, midfield and attack all having to track back. When we lose possession in our own half which we do far too often and is one of our major areas for improvement then we find ourselves inviting pressure and giving away chances.

Also it was obvious from tonight that we have no back up for Bartley and Jansson. When either of them are missing we look in real trouble. I've no doubt if Pontus has played against Cardiff we would not have lost that match. It's likely that they will both miss matches before the end of the season either through suspension or injury. Let's pray it doesn't happen and god forbid not at the same time. This lack of strengthening of the squad during the transfer window is bound to cost us points and seems to me to be a ridiculous oversight.

Nailed it. Can't add anything other than I believe this was Green's best ever game for us (which is praise indeed coming from me!), plus Viera looks like he needs a wee rest to me. He's over-trying & not managing to match his earlier performances.
