Lee confirms that Lee is a big part of his plans for next season, I also hope Wilbs will sign a new contract, he is the "club captain" and in reality the extra "duties" could enhance his future in the game!

Personally think Tomlin. that played last season for the majority of the season, was a complete waste of money-the Tomlin we had on loan was a fantastic player.

Wilbs should go and play in the first division would do well, and score plenty.

    Time to move both on.

Never looked fit enough and gave possession away too easily. He is a luxury player and despite all his tricks never showed any level of consistency. Time to move him on.

Continued insistence on re-signing yesterday's players show me not to expect much new this coming season. I would be surprised, no shocked, if we make any headway maintaining our usual mediocre approach to what needs to be done to make us a possible contender, yet alone a better stronger team. Will there be any chance of signing a player who will up our ante remembering we have to replace, yet again, our top scorer from the last campaign?

    Totally agree.
On his day he could be a match winner but was often invisible. A bit like JET for me - different positions but same effect. 10% magic, 90% indifference.

Other than Jet can you name the players who have landed at Ashton Gate with same mindset? Lee Trundle?

    McIndoe after his first season

Tomlin doesn't work hard enough and his seeming u turn in now wishing to stay may be due to lack of interest from other clubs.

    Interesting quote from LJ:

"There is no doubt he had challenges in his life last year"

Anyone know what he's referring to? Has Tomlin had something happen away from the game?

For all the talk of a fallout with LJ, he only ever seems to come out and speak highly of him...

The jury's out for me, he loses the ball far to easily and places far to much pressure on the midfield and defence as a result. All to often the full backs are over lapping waiting for a pass and he loses it and we were caught out. A noticeable improvement in team cohesion and results once he was dropped for the run in.
Not that many on here will give LJ any credit for this, guess he was just lucky, right!!
