My eldest is in the middle of an interview at a high school in Warrington as I type. I hope to God she gets it. The daily commute to Bootle and back is a bastard. The academy school she's doing 2 terms supply at has very little money, so it's very unlikely they'll extend her contract into the next academic year as they're making redundancies. Education in this country is ****ed. She's coming to the Cheese anyway this evening, so I hope we're celebrating and not commiserating. Fingers crossed
Thanks mate. Teacher interviews are bizarre. She hasn't done many, but decisions are usually made on the day. Several candidates are interviewed in the morning, then two or three are brought back in for an afternoon session, including 30 mins teaching. She actually missed the deadline for this, but the head made an exception as she's done some supply work there. Hopefully a good sign
Best wishes to your daughter for her interview. Long commutes are awful, and I know you'll be happy to have her closer to home. If you need me to give her any more 5 star reviews on "rate my teacher", let me know. I'll be happy to help out.
Go for it mate It's not just the commute. The school is in the middle of a huge council estate in Bootle. Her days are 'challenging'
For the record, I did not have anything to do with the "I Would" comment on her ratings page. I'm not sure which of the sickos on here posted that. It wasn't me, I promise.
Good good. You can never tell about a candidates peospects in a 3/4 way race but getting to there should be a boost to confidence to get there. Also network with other prospects
She came second She's well pissed off. Looks like the hiatus after Merchant Taylors was the problem, even though she got a great reference from the Head of Department there. That **** of a head has a lot to answer for. If he hadn't ****ed off to Dubai, I'd be going to have words with the ****er. Some TLC required this evening.
Did you reply to the right thread, I'm confused. I feel like Greez at a salad bar, it doesn't make sense.
