We shouldn't expect to win against the bottom 3 sides even if every other ****er does but if you rule out the chances of promotion based on not winning against the bottom sides or away games you are too negative.
We did that too not long ago. Their recent history is as good or better than ours. Why are they suddenly deemed pushovers?
Didn't they beat the mighty Huddersfield away recently (you know - the team everyone is raving about)? Just saying...
Sheffield Wednesday beat them with the only shot they had on target in the whole game (Wigan had 5). Perhaps if Wigan had Omar Bogle then, things would've been different. Back in the days of Hughton the big complaint was that the football wasn't 'entertaining' enough, but now it seems that winning with our only shot on target would be fine. I like the attacking football we're playing
1 (one) away win in 5 (five) months is a huge problem. And we didn't play free flowing attractive attacking football in most of those away games since October.
Fact is you ought to be delighted we managed to draw, only a matter of weeks ago we would probably have lost, had we been 2-1 down with 20 minutes to play. Signs of improvement, however slight they might seem to some, which will all help in stabilising the ´Neil-squad-board´ relationship, even if not the ´Neil-squad-board-fan´ relationship, for the foreseeable future. A play-off finish, which after all, is the absolute best we could possibly have hoped for, the way our autumn and pre-Christmas panned out, is, while not being a certainty, still very much a possibility.
