    Well I think I'm more confident in a Lejuene and Clarke defence which, unless we go back 3, isnt Guna happen at Spurs.
    Overall though he's got the personality for captaincy and does give his all so fair enough, who would have been more worthy?

    As long as it doesn't mean he'll start games no matter what then it's okay. Needs to be picked on form and ability like everyone else. I'd have Ritchie as vice-captain as he's in the team every week.

    Colo was a terrible choice to make captain. Especially for the last 2 or 3 years when he just wanted to leave.

    When you think we went from Nolan/Barton to that, you can see why the team spirit just diminished by the year.

    So long as the team gets picked on merit I don't have a problem with this. As some have alluded to can anyone name someone else who has demonstrated Captain material?

    All this picked on merit stuff is bollocks for me. Your captain should be so good he picks himself.

    I think this just confirms what we all already know - the squad is lacking quality massively.

    It would have made sense to have gone and out and bought someone with all the attributes to be Captain.

    A player that is in the team on merit, respected, a leader, etc.

    Having read that back to myself, I've realised how deluded I am.
