First, you were outplayed. Second, Eriksen and Alli spotted a weakness and you lot were mug enough to fall for it twice!... And, they weren't long balls...
2010/11 FA Cup Winners 2011/12 EPL Champions 2013/14 EPL Champions 2013/14 League Cup Winners 2015/16 League Cup Winners ... problem is Quents, you keep straying into subject areas about which you have rather scant knowledge ... e.g football
Walker leaving would be a real shame as he's a class player but he's the most easily replaceable person in our first XI thanks to us having Trippier. Although naturally I'd rather keep him, getting £40m+ and not significantly weakening the side really isn't a tragedy. We wouldn't even need to sign another RB as we've got one of the country's most promising players in that position looking to breakthrough, who's aptly named Kyle Walker-Peters (not ****ting you here).
We don't care, Bambi! Walker can **** off, if he chooses (or, rather, if Levy lets him leave). When are you going to get that into your extremely dense skull?
...probably around the same time you start to demonstrate more than a scratch the surface knowledge of football, Quentin...so never.
Basically it's money with the shyster.....its what you do. but he has had enough of the dream thats spans 55 years for winning something tangible. He has seen the light and like the others if you win FA next season there will be an endless stream. Even a shyster cant sell ice cubes to eskimos.
...wouldn't disagree with your synopsis necessarily...but the bit you are missing is that his going to City and improving them defensively...which it would ... and combined with their other spending (and United's and Chelsea's) suggests that you will find it a lot more difficult to finish above them in the league next season ... being brutally honest (and not even attempting to wind Quentin up for once) ... I suspect that the best chance for Spurs to take the title has now gone ... it was there for the taking this season and last, but you fell short to better 'teams' and the opportunity may now have gone ...
I think we will have a lot more opportunities in the future to challenge for the league. The team that won it this season had to win 30 out of their 38 games to clinch it. We are in that place where we are not bankrolled by an Oligarch or an average mid table team at best that caught the wind beneath their sails and travelled many a Sea and saw many an adventure not to be seen again. A bit like when Wigan won the cup...the kind of alignment of stars that only happens on very rare occasions. We seem to have to try to be sensible in our approach but ambitious at the same time. We do have some kind of expectancy and standards to maintain. Our fan base can live with not having won the league yet. What we could not live with is a dire brand of Football and consistent flirting at the foot of the table. Our strategy is aimed at being at the top end of the table consistently and working towards moving into a 62,000 seater stadium. It's the long game...we used to be hopeful of cracking the top 4 not long ago, now we are talking about cracking top spot. City can spend all the money they want if World record purchases are playing for a team finishing 6th then I'm not worried about next season. I don't think City can buy a first XI to better the one Spurs currently have. If they do, they will have to smash the world record a few times. Our only Achilles heel will be Wembley.
Yeah, well, I demonstrated that when you twats were still floundering around in the Championship. It's taken a while for you to catch up.
Spurs biggest problem is going to be keeping the team and manager together after next seasons wembley fail.
Very true...more so the players as I think Poch wants to see the team into the new Stadium. He has had an input into some of the features of it and often talks fondly of the move. but this is Football and **** changes.
