Does anyone know what the sell on percentage might be? http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/spo...jonathan-kodjia-special-report-aston-12835180
possibly 20% +/- ? more interesting though is what the payment we got and the final payment up to £15 is triggered... I read between some lines got £11m with add on/s will be £15m
The advanatge is that Kodjia and his agent are as we know, mercenaries and as soon as there is a sniff of a big offer from the Prem or abroad he will be off. The crux for us will be, was any sell on deal a % of the future sale in total or only a % of the profit Villa made on the sale (e.g. above the £11 or £15Mill?) - I suspect it will be the latter.
Yeah nailed on to be profit, and given Villa's expectations this year, I'd imagine the additional £3-4m owed on top of the £11m would be based on promotion to the Prem annoyingly.
Wow Ithought it was about £4m I guess that is what contract negotiation is all about, especially if a player in this day and age plays out their contract to zero! Share of profit share of on going sale I suspect the % is worded around something like ... 25% of the profit or 15% of the sell on fee who knows?
Are you sure? I thought it was almost always on profit only. Though it obviously sounds like you know something else?
I don't know for def just going on my recall of what clubs have received on sell ons that I can remember. it always surprised me it was on the total.
But seeing as they only paid £250 grand for him in the first place, it will be only be losing £50 grand if it was on profit only based on 20%
