Well i can forgive a young lad if he learned from it. We know mingolet would have done no better on it. I agree lloris would have had it as would courtois. but then they are top top players with bags of experience.
Look at the goal again Tobes......if you think any keeper in the world would get to that ball before Antonio you're off your head mate. Starting position my arse
Basic idea is a wall covers one side and the keeper the other, so WTF was Stek thinking setting up this monstrosity? Why does Williams have his legs apart? Why does Stek have such weak wrists? Total shambles in every way.
I personally don't think there was much he could do for this goal, it was just a chain of unfortunate events that led to the goal. 1. Matip couldn't adjust to the deflection from Henderson's head, not many players would IMO. He had just committed to follow the initial ball and Antonio and couldn't change his stance to head the ball. 2. Karius' positioning wasn't off at all. The direction of Antonio and the ball meant he had to cover his right side, if he'd have been more to the left it would have been easy for Antonio to go around to his right.
Plus where is Antonio going to put that ball?............over the keeper?.......left/right?...........it was a mishit in the end but good enough to score
Can't be arsed to read back... TalkSport claiming Karius as been dropped for tonight's game. Migs is playing
Klopp has finally decided to do what most fans here wanted him to do. Karius deserved to be dropped as he has cost us 5 points. Without his errors we could still have been at the top of the table. So does that mean that the Nevilles will think that Klopp has given in to pressure and accepted that he was wrong?
Still don't agree with him single handedly costing us 5 points. joint effort the whole way by the team. needed dropped to get back on track and work harder nonetheless . .. Nevilles don't really do "thinking" ....you can see the pained expression when they try.
Not sensational, but he did ok. One pretty sharp save, and looked reasonably confident in his box. He even released the ball early at least once.
It was a professional performance - the fact that there wasn't much to say about Migs is actually a positive. Wouldn't have been easy but felt he dealt with the pressure well.
What if Migs was always Klopp's number 1 this whole time? And Klopp bought a cheap keeper who happened to be the 2nd best in the BL to give Migs the kick up the arse he needed? please log in to view this image
This weekend's Football Ramble podcast also spent 5 minutes slagging of the Nevilles for their distasteful attitudes
There was an article in the Guardian by Marina Hyde also slagging them off. Funny how no one at all is actually in their corner over this one.
