I don't think I can add Munch more to this current pun so I'll just take it easel and let the rest of you carry on. Goya ahead, I expect there are still a few to use

The drivers name was Mr John Stone and he had claimed that this was not an accident but his entry to win the Ashurst Art Prize. Critics have said John Stone's Paint Trophy, you'll never win that.

Didn't know whether to give you a "like" or to go into a dark room and weep.

And on the 1500th page. Whatever happened to TSS closing down Beefy's Corners and opening brand spanking new ones? I seem to recall he was closing them down if they reached 100 pages. Wasn't it something to do with mobile users couldn't hack it if a thread became too unwieldy.

Hey guys, I know I haven't posted here much recently... but can you guys think of any cheap/free date ideas? After two trips to the cinema and a trip to the museum (and not a free museum at that)... My wallet has taken a bit of a battering and I think i it needs a break until payday (especially with Valentine's coming up). Haha. If it was warmer, a picnic in the park could be nice. Any ideas people?

A picnic on Butser Hill (if you live near Pompey) all wrapped up warm, flask of hot soup, warm bread rolls wrapped in foil, would be fabulous. If near the coast, get to the sea front and do it.

Ps. If you want another tip, save your money on Valentine's Day- just a card if you insist. So many girls get so many cheese you things on Valentines Day and any present ends up being classified as commercial or cheesey.

A single rose is nice....romantic and doesn't cost a fortune. Ignore, fats....a card alone is not enough. :)

A single rose could be seen as a little too cheesey. Bit to simple to say ignore that advice. I was a sad sap as a late teenager/early 20s, and roses would have been minor. Heart broken all the time.

Without going to bad, there is a lot of truth in "treat em mean keep em keen" - not literally, but don't be too soppy. I also used my impression of PL when giving the advise. Let's face it, he sounds like he's full on and desperate to fall in love.

A thoughtful date would go miles further than a rose that all their mates would probably get too.

I think that was the case in olden times of clockwork phones. People don't seem to complain about the size of threads anymore! (Nostalgic sigh...)

Thanks for the advice, Fran and fatletiss... We were going to go to Cadbury World, but it's closed to the public she we're going to a cafe she likes now. She said yay when I said let's go, so it's clearly a good choice. I'm not really thinking of Valentine's day atm, my thoughts are mostly more short term! But I'll try to think of something more thoughtful, though I'd have a thought a meal would be a given.

Hopefully she is interested. I mean, we met on a dating website, and we've met up three times so far, and the fourth time is on Saturday and last time, we did hold hands for a bit. I mean, the coldness of the weather was the thing that led to it, but she didn't have to hold my hand, nor for as long as she did. It could have been a case of holding for just a three or four seconds, but it was longer than that. Gosh I hate being so shy.

Hang on, you're in Brum at Uni aren't you? Take her for a stroll Down the canal routes. Grab a take away coffee or hot chocolate (and for Fran a heart shaped cookie) and wonder along the canal, pausing to sit on a bench to take your drinks. The lighting is ace for that, night time with some soft canal side lighting, sprinkled with some brighter, twinkling lights from the bars and restaurants. You'll even get some background music. If it was me, I'd get down there and check out the best route. You can even use the bridges over the canals where you'll see the lights shimmering off the waters surface.... and if it's a clear night, stars too.

There's a romantic setting for you. And cheap.
