It's not as simple as you think picking a team. This is what I have gone for against Crapdiff and it's going to piss off some as I've left Tomlin out. Now it's not that I don't rate him as I do, but I don't see him as a team player and believe we've tried to shoehorn him into the team. If you want a go get the app it's called football silo on apple products. Have a go and see what you can come up with. But don't turn this into a anti LJ thread let's try and see what all of us pretend managers would do.
I'm not ready to write off the formation from yesterday yet. Magnusson in for Smith would be the only change.
I didn't start Tomlin because he never does any defensive work and hardly tracks back, I didn't go on Saturday so I'm not sure how we'd play with 3 at the back, I'm still scarred from seeing 3-5-2 under Cotterill and how **** we were
as I said on another thread it is now hard / harder to pick a starting team .... 3 -5-2 would be pretty much what you have? USE SAME PLAYERS I would go for the 2 up front with Tommo in the middle, bryan hegeler brownhill back 4 Mag Flint Wright little = 4-3-1-2 drop Wilbs for this formation This is what I would take ON Cardiff with no Mag then Golbourne
I would go with yours ROD, except for Tomlin in Brownhill's position, and I would give Freeman extra shooting practice This was the formation I suggested at the beginning of the season. Better late than never...
At first sight I thought Tiger's team was more or less spot on, then I saw JGF's observation! Out of that team I would probably leave out Bryan, but if I am completely honest, the only players and positions I am absolutely sure about are in bold, the rest in plain text could be swopped - there are a load of options, and I'm not a great fan of playing only 3 at the back (my spacing was lost when I posted. I was playing 4 at the back with Hegeler in the middle, slightly in front of Flint) : O Donnell (Fielding if fit) Flint Wright Magners Hegeler Matthews O'Dowda Freeman Tomlin Abraham Duric
