http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36986291 After they had a go at us for spending a lot of money on Paul Pogba, Pot, kettle, black springs to mind regarding those 2 managers especially Jurgen Klopp who spent almost £40 million on Saido Mane.
The ironic thing is that if both those managers were at clubs where they had the money they would do the exact same thing. It's no business of theirs what players we buy - you don't hear them spout on about RM or Barca - mid-table paranoia tis all.
Yep, it's easy to say you would never do something, especially when you know you will never get the chance.
The hypocrisy of kloppyflop and Wenger just astonishing. Though not totally unexpected. If they were managing Real and had identified Pogba as a key target, would they not want to get him if they had the money available? What they are probably worried about is the new benchmark being set by United. They are now buying very ordinary players at £40m-£50m. To get anyone with exceptional ability they will need to spend £60m-£80m.
Not sure if they would tbh - Wenger has hundreds of millions in the bank at Arsenal but refuses to spend on the players he needs for a title challenge, and Klopp seems to have a perennial sell to buy mentality which pretty much destroyed a top quality Dortmund squad. Which is probably why neither of them have ever been genuinely considered for a role at a top club.
The question is where do you draw the line? At what point is ££££ spent obscene? £30m, £50m? £80m? £100m? Who decides this? Secondly what's the difference in spending £100m on five players as opposed to one? At the end of the day if you're spending £100s of millions on your squad, you got **** all right to have a go at another club spending £100s of millions on theirs. How they spend it is up to them, whether it be on 1, 2 or 5 purchases.
I have hated the BS surrounding the transfer of Pogba but I like Mourinho and Woodward recognise that unless United pay over the odds there is absolutely no way a player like Pogba at 23 will come to us instead of Real the CL champions. Those who criticise the 100m paid have to recognise reality. Either pay the required amount or forget about it. United have the financial muscle so why not?
Is it ethical to treat players the way Jose does? The treatment of BS is terrible, what has he actually done to deserve being sent to a reserve team? Mata them subbed for a few inches of height after only being brought on 30 minutes earlier, sound like bullshit to me. If he doesn't want the players then just tell them and put them up for sale. I was wondering if Jose had changed, his behaviour so far would suggest otherwise.
As far as the Pogba fee goes, if that's what it costs and that's who you want them so be it. Money in footy is bonkers anyway I don't find this transfer that strange myself.
With all the extras it's way past 100mil. Who cares anyway. It's probably the most tedious transfer in history. If Utd want to pay that then who really cares. They get the player they want, everyone's happy. Especially Mendes. But I'm glad it's over, like I said it's been so tedious listening to stupid cryptic messages when it was so obviously going to happen. The market has gone cosmic this summer, and it'll only get worse. Crazy times we live in.
How much did Benteke's agent earn out of his transfer to Liverpool's reserve team and what wages is Benteke on? This is essential information.
Don't be daft. Extras only count when they can be used to inflate the value of a Utd transfer. Just ask Deidre, she'll explain it all for you
By the time you've factored in agent fees and wages, Benteke cost Liverpool over £50million. I'd rather have 1 Pogba than 2 Benteke's.
