I respect your right to an opinion on the player, and I'm not questioning your consistency, but he's one of your highest rated players. However... Your fans do seem to have a complex in that If you want to leave you close ranks and he's "out of the family"
NEVER slated Snodgrass he is an intelligent player, fantastic feet, don't want him to go, But everyone has a price
Johnson I thought was to blame for ball watching for Sheff United first goal he may put a shift in but his ball watching has cost us dearly he will be found out big stile in the big league mark my words
The same with Grayson, one week he is the best manager in the World and the next you want him out sharpish....... The unity between our board fans players and manager is why we went up.
Doesn't surprise me about Johnson - he's a southerner by trade so, Norwich will always be first choice
Beefforhire - I think you'll find that the vast majority of fans, including me, have never counted him as one of our "highest rated players". He's decent at Championship level and puts a shift in but has nowhere near the ability needed for the Prem, that strike against Arsenal was a one off I'm afraid, if he does go for you prepare to be ducking in the stands. I'm much more dissapointed to see Kilkenny, and possibly but hopefully not Snodgrass, go. supernorwich23 - Only the idiots want Larry out, I'm sure you have a few of your own. Spanish White - I'm pretty sure King has signed a new contract at Coventry, thank god!
Yup, it's a only tiny but annoyingly vocal minority who want Grayson out. There's people who've called for Ferguson's head at Man U before, every club has unreasonable fans. Edit: just rememembered that Norwich fan who tore their season ticket up last season after the pasting by Colchester on the first day of the season.
The unity between our board fans players and manager is why we went up. Like it was - NOT - when you lost 1-7 home to Colchester. When you lost home to Watford first game of the season, your fans were at it the same. It's amaing how there's untiy when teams are consistent and perform well.....and then suddenly....... It's a load of nonsense to declare that as the reason you went up. It won't take your natives long to start whingeing and expressing discontent once the realities of the Premier league kick in in a few months time. Good starts mean nothing either, as Blackpool found out last season......
Oh so Johnson story is Daily Mirror gossip. Oh well, what do you expect from the biggest heap of left-wing tabloid crap out there......?
They are a scummy anti-Leeds socialist rag, but to be fair they're one of the more reliable newspapers for football rumours.
Johnson is hopeless, easily replaceable-good riddance. Even Grella would have done a better job than him playing out of position as he could at least pass the ball accurately, has quick feet and a good football brain. Mike Grella...what a waste, given a prolonged run in the side would have been a great asset to Leeds United. Instead his confidence was shot by being consistently overlooked in favour of inferior players. Hope the same doesn't happen to Somma,Nunez and White
LeedsInEssex - Showed he has a terrible attitude by refusing to loans to League 2 thinking he was above it and then walking out on Swindon. Good riddance to him I say. Somma and Beckford both showed what could be achieved with a good attitude and hard work.
He may be one of are highest rated players, for people who arent Leeds fans and dont watch him week in week out. As i said on Norwich board, he was average in league 1, but on that note i will miss the lad as he always worked hard. We must keep Snoddy though.
Grella was a weird one. Got plenty of time in substitute appearances but never seemed to be on the same wavelength as everyone else. Took one touch too many before shooting and never made a stand-out pass or skinned any defenders. He obviously had some raw potential but I suppose it's just the result of starting late in football and spending so much time playing with amateurs in the States.
Could be ironic for BJ if narrich are relegated and were promoted. Could easily happen too. Enjoy you're brief trip to the premiership Bradley if you do indeed end up with delis boys
So basically, you're going t lose all your midfielders in time for the start of next season and probably end up with a relegation battle on your hands
... Except we've known Johnson was going since January, many of us wanted him gone before. I think you have more of a problem on your hands as your only player who can score is away.
Losing two average midfielders shouldn't be a huge problem, though replacing them will be knowing our current regime. Even if we kept as we are right now, Howson and Clayton could still stave off relegation playing in a 4-4-2 (I was thinking about it in the bath, sadarse that I am). Plus we could use Alex Bruce as a defensive mid if we really had to, even Kisnorbo's been known to play there before.
Agree both were very average.... - Killkenny could not tackle and was lightweight - Johnson could not pass and had very poor positioning Both will struggle if they choose to step up a league! We could sign one replacement a good DM - last year we had no protection in front of the back four (and boy they needed protection) Sam and Nunez will provide cover for the wing and for Howson. We have clayton as well so enough in the midfield A LB and CB and i think we will have a decent squad to challenge again......
hE WILL HAVE A GOOD MANAGER IN LAMBERT but my view is he won,t hack it but at least he will have company by the looks of it with Snoody
