    I like Elliot and would be perfectly happy if we started the season with our current keepers. I get Rafa's point though if he is looking for one. Goalie is definitely one of theost important positions. If you have quality, experience and presence between the sticks it can make a massive difference to the mentality of the whole team.

    Reina and Carson in his first few Liverpool signings
    Sels first with us
    To Benitez his GK is massive and he considers defence before he considers attack. I'll trust him but I think Elliot deserves a go

    Regressed badly, can't see him ever getting back to those levels anytime soon. The whole Pep dumping him and not rating his footwork seems to have ****ed him.

    However, Joe Hart is a world-class player and I would start him in front of anybody we have.

    Disagree completely. He is certainly not world class. He is distinctly average. Should not be England No 1 either.

    I should have said though that he is an improvement on our current keepers but at his price and wage you would expect a significant upgrade for a GK.

    I'm not convinced he is better than the ones we have. I think Darlow and Elliot are not far off his level at worst. We seem to have accumulated a lot of average keepers.

    Reina or Hart is a complete no brainer - Pepe every time, marked improvement on what we have. Hart, though? Would rather have Darlow.

    That Elliott is probably your best goalkeeper but from what I read, he doesn't seem the fittest of lads and is regularly injuring himself.

    The other two are utter ****, Krul must have bananas for feet because other than shot stopping, he looks like an amateur. The kid you played last season just kept making mistakes and this league is unforgiving with keepers like that. He'll be gone before long.

    Hart's not a top goalkeeper but he's far better than those two and probably more athletically reliable than Elliott.

    Can we not just have a good keeper though?

    I like Reina. Modern before his time. Liverpool dropped an almighty clanger in losing him. Mind I'm sure he was whoring himself to Barcelona at the time. But Mignolet? <laugh> The only people who thought he was top class were the mackems, JPF and Brendan Rodgers.

    I think JPF might actually be Brendan Rogers. Definitely a mackem too cos he ****ed off at half time from this board last season.

    Krul = Excellent shot stopper. When he's on form he's decent in the air, but when he's not he's a liability, and his distribution is awful. I think he's worth 1-2 more seasons.

    Darlow = A decent keeper, but not worth relying on to get better.

    Elliot = Not as good at shot stopping as Krul but has a solid all round game. He's at least an average premier league quality keeper who could serve us well.
