Using my well honed Sunderland fan coping skill - it's Short playing mind games with the media and monies will materialise - bargains to come ...... got to cling to hope even if it's a long shot or end up on dead end street - KTF from me

 

Could be the case actually, we seem to be taking baby steps towards being more savvy with our money and keeping our cards close to our chest would be part of that.

If you can trade the half-hearted Kone for Jagielka and McCarthy you're robbing them in I reckon.

McCarthy is 2 years younger than Kone and has much more experience playing well in the Premiership. From what I've seen of Kone he had a good half season of playing like a beast and professing happiness at being at Sunderland and has then spent half a season stropping about. Even a straight one-for-one would be a good deal for you guys, push Denayer back into defence if needs be.

 

That's what you think but then BAM! We start spending, 200K on a division two player here, class player in his 40s with a broken leg there, you just wait and see.

 

You must surely have first choice of Division 1 and 2 players as you can guarantee them first team football...

I wouldn`t believe anything in the press atm. They know we are low on numbers so they`ll tag our name in automatically on anything going.

I would take Ulloa at the moment. Not sure who you think we are going to attract at this stage and I think Defoe could play off him quite nicely. If we can get a forward and a midfielder with a bit of creative quality in, then that's the best we can hope for I reckon.
