WoL says Joe back to Bolton on loan but request for McNuggs refused. Apologies if covered elsewhere but I've only just seen it.

We must have the best part of a whole team out on loan now with more to go by Friday.

    Thomas Rincon

DCM or RB, papers say the fee is agreed and he's on his way to the UK.

Another defensive midfielder - see comment about Mbodj yesterday.

Is something going on with Medel or could this be in addition to him?

I cannot for one wait for this bleeding window to slam shut.
Not before a central defender and striker come in and Zaha is actually here in a bluebirds shirt.

The Fabio and Zaha deals seem to have gone very quiet.

Both being confirmed today, apparently waiting for both to be confirmed for the official unveiling. Ole has already said Fabio is done and Zaha was waiting for paperwork.

This could be to replace Medel in midfield allowing him to partner Caulker at centre back.

HB - possibly, unless we play a team with 2 big strikers. <yikes>

Don't get many teams playing two big strikers at this level.

It would give us two footballing centre backs.

I know but when other sides see we have one of Snow White's friends (I wouldn't dare say that to Medel's face, Lol!!!) at cb then tactics may change.

However, from what we saw against England it works well for Chile with him at cb - and maybe he would be able to last the whole game by not having to run around so much.

On the negative side it could lessen our threat at set pieces.

Defending set pieces could be an issue too. We looked small defending 2nd half against Utd and that was with Turner.

Quagliarella is gathering pace on Twitter. Now he's a striker!

    And apparently he's rejected us.......

Thats a few CM's we are now linked with, seems he has decided there is more a problem there than with a striker.

Sounds like that is it then.................if so then IMO an average transfer window. Let's look at each in isolation.

Zaha. Not proven in PL. Not match fit. On positive side he wants to impress Hodgson & Moyes, and should create enough chances and score a few.
Fabio. Flopped at QPR. Flopped at Man U.
Jones. Not a proven scorer but definitely what City need - a big bloke up front with PL experience. Should do ok.
Daehli. Promising but one for the future maybe rather than now?
    Berget. ???????????????
Eikrem. Looked composed versus West hHam. Still an unknown quantity.

Wanted desperately to see a PL central defender and proven goal scoring striker come in.

City are weak defensively across the back 4 line.
City have little pace and creativity in central midfield. Why has he given Cowie a 3 year extension???????Mutch's role is pivotal; he has to keep fit!
City lack a quality marksman. Accept Zaha and Jones will improve things though. But not enough.

    I'm resigned to relegation.........................

When was that announced? He's done ok for us stepping up, but he's not the future.
