Its not a reported price. Its a made up price by people who do not know. Thats what bothers me about it. I heard we got 18m for him btw.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the obvious. MS has realised that Jocks can't play football and is ruthlessly binning them off. Marshall- dropped. Big Al- shipped out. Snodge- on his way out. Robbo and Maloney to follow. Makes sense if you ask me, too many sweaties in the squad has put us in this position. Bravo Marco, bravo.
Tad simplistic don't you think? I thought it was all Marshall's fault anyway. Stats on WhoScored showed Livermore has won the ball in the middle of the park far more than any other of our midfielders this season- anyone thinking selling Livermore doesn't weaken our midfield is deluded. Personally, I don't particularly mind the idea of selling a player to reshape the squad as it is obvious we are skint, and midfield is the only area of the squad that has anywhere near the numbers to allow us to lose someone. However, I don't think the reported £10m for Livermore is a great deal by any means. If we had got £15m, then fair enough, though given his versatility ( I actually thought he was our best central defender in the games he has played there), and the fact we have so few players, even allowing him to go for that is a risk.
Sorry to see Jake leave the building, but £10m is a steal for a player who is solid but lacks pace..Still good luck fella.
From Zero Zero in Portugal, re Andre Andre... Marco Silva has NO INTENTION of bringing the midfielder to England. The Tigers have ‘other priorities’. Sunderland and Hull aren’t among the Premier League clubs who regularly scout Porto either, making it all a little stranger.
at the end of the day, he wasn't our best player but he certainly wasn't our worst - his passing was wayward at times, his shooting was poor, his creativity was average but he gave his all and was probably our best midfield enforcer - I'm convinced we can do better - he didn't set the Championship on fire last year - 39 appearances, 4 goals - I wish him luck at West Brom and believe it will ultimately be a positive move for us
Right. I've been out all day and not heard any news. I've only just found out that Livermore has gone. Why has he been sold? I'm ****ing gobsmacked.
It's funny, on twitter there's a tonne of opposing fans that think we've completely pulled down West Brom's pants. We think he's severely undervalued. I'd love to know what we'd have had to pay for Livermore if we arranged the option to sign him permanently when we got him on loan. Levy did us one charging £7/8m and I think that affects people's judgement
Polly, every thread I go on you appear bewildered, befuddled and bewitched. You're like that bloke off of Taxi.
