Just a point - but quite a big one - how does Ash know this is the reason? Do you really, seriously, think Bruce Snr told anyone his reason for picking an experienced, seasoned Alex in good form above a very raw, very young Harry, never mind a former captain?

One could argue it has proven to be good management, as Harry might have burned and died if he'd been thrown in at the deep end rather than gently nurtured. It's happened to better players than him.
