Costa, Batshuayi, Hazard, Willian, Fabregas etc is enough of an attacking threat going forward for me.
I seriously hope we don't spend £60m on this kid.....he is nothing special at all.

 

My barber is a Napoli fan and finds it amazing you're after Koulibaly at that sort of money. That's my top quality inside scoop on that one.

Agree on Rodriguez. Good goalscoring record in softer leagues. Doesn't come across as a Conte sort of player you'd want at Middlesbrough in February.

 

We get associated with everyone..... can't see it myself,but who knows.

 

I'll be honest, i've never seen Koulibaly play but i'm pretty sure at some point last season (maybe the January window) that he was linked to Norwich....they signed Klose instead. So yeah, i find the price amazing too!

As for Rodriguez, he's up there with the worlds best for me and would definitely improve our team but i do agree that he isn't a Conte sort of player which is why i can't see it happening at all.

He's expensive, but who isn't in todays market? He'd improve our XI for sure though.

 

Another Colombian who is sure to light up the league, just like Cuadrado did.

Hope Cuadrado deal is made permanent by Juve. Don't need another useless loan again.

Hazard? Who is looking good again this season
Willian? Our player of the year last year, a silver lining in an otherwise dismal season.

I wouldn't pay a Club record fee to replace either of those players.
Even if he did improve us, it would be marginal, and in an area where we are already strong

Neither, i'd have Willian and Hazard either side of him.

I wasn't saying i'd buy him for 60M but that's the going rate for players of his quality in this market. He would improve our team but he's not essential, nor is he a Conte type player. If we've got 60M lets have a couple of Defenders. We shouldn't even need to spend that to improve our defence.

 

Sorry don't rate him that much at all.
His strike rate for Real Madrid is not all that impressive. Even Forrest Gump would net at least a dozen goals a season with Madrid, and the quality of their opposition week in, week out (Barca and Atletico excepted).
7 goals and 8 assists in 30 games last season is pretty piss poor, and most certainly not worth anywhere near £60m

 

I'd be tempted to try Hazard in the middle with Willian and Moses on the sides.Feel
we've lots of options as it is.What i'm really pissed off about is Christensen being at BMG while
we're talking silly money for a defender.

 

Is Miazga still with us? The lad looked good for the couple of games he had last season. He could learn from the master while getting valuable experience, hope to see a few of the youth in for the cup match on Tuesday.

 

Miazga is out on loan. As is virtually every Centre Back we have besides Terry and Cahill.

30M bid rejected for Romagnoli. Hoping we go back in, would quite like him.

Well we have Zouma as well.
Realistically though, this has to be JT's last season.
Maybe sign another defender now, for this season, then replace JT's place in the squad with Christensen next year when JT is gone.
Am not a huge Cahill fan either, as you all know.
He is decent, but not consistent enough for me.

 

Also I think Christensen would be classed as Homegrown too, having been in our academy since he was 15.

Zouma must be close to fitness now, surely?

Christensen is definitely HG and i think looking ahead to next season if we had him, Zouma, Cahill and the new one we sign this summer we'd be set for a few years.

 

Heard / Read Zouma is atleast few months away from Match Fitness.

 

Indeed, we need a defender. I hope Conte signs someone in the mould of that ruthless Italian superstar defender Claudio Gentile of the early 1980s......
