'Better team for 60 minutes' - Classic. For R&W We set up as an away team, just defending our own half. I'm struggling to remember in my lifetime of watching City a more negative approach. We created nothing, absolutely nothing and their keeper gifted us our only chance. 2nd half, 1st minute we got the penalty and its 2-0. My honest thoughts - we've got Junior forever with this luck because their was only 1 team trying to play football and win the game. Junior's subs were baffling but it was 60 minutes so as every game it was time for a sub. From then on we got even deeper and once they scored we knew the rest. One last point - Fielding was pathetic for their winner.
At 2-0 up especially with 18 minutes left, you shouldn't be losing games at home, end of. Kermogants comments were that they spent much of that time 35 yards from our goal. If you sit deep all you do is invite trouble.
Bluntly I am a keep LJ in situ but I agree with the above, I was so pissed off with our defeat but for 60 mnutes I was shouting my support for LJ, god help me I'm pissed off..
Yes I agree that stats are just that but nonetheless on paper it doesn't look too good. The end result is what was the end result, another last minute loss?
I was only wondering if you said LJ should go before you saw today's result, and can't understand why that's so difficult for you to comprehend. Clearly you were aware of the result but I failed to spot that so my comment sounded a bit off the mark - nothing personal.
Because it sounded personal. A bloody imbecile could have worked out that my comment was after the final whistle, and what of it ? Don't take the piss Inver or you and I will not get along. At all
What's that meant to mean brightred? I get the bit about Tomlin for our next 30 stone goalie jibe (wink wink) but your's I'm not quite so sure.
If they are then they will realise what an utterly contemptible creep you really are. I suggest you stay at the opposite end of this board from me for the sake of continued good ambience.
Lansdown needs to bite the bullet, admit (but he won't) that this was another flawed appointment by the club, sack LJ today, and then set about the serious business of recruiting someone who knows what they are doing. It's the same old same old in BS3, mistake after mistake and no-one ever owning the problem. Utterly shambolic.
Aside from Rotherham, we have also lost the most games in the Championship this season so far. 14 defeats (jointly held with Wigan) from just 25 games and if you took away Tammys goals, we'd probably be rock bottom.
The thing is mate, you may well be right, but when you write so melodramatically you do start to lose effect a bit, and people lose the impact of the hyperbole. We all know that just isn't true. Who can forget the Tiny Penis years.
I think he is getting the cup game and Cardiff game. SL is one very very loyal owner,I wonder how he treated his top managers as Hargreaves/Lansdown. Told from a staff manager he was fair, but ruthless.
I think Angelic is right, I don't blame LJ as much, he was still a Junior manager and got this job on the back of little experience, having never played any significant amount of his career under a manager other than his dad. A few seasons in League One with middle of the road teams, turning out middle of the road results was never going to be what this club needed. Other than throwing massive amounts of cash at the club and a couple of good seasons, I'm not sure how we have evolved since Lansdown has been at the helm. Stadium improvements sure but anyone could do that and in fact we may have gotten over the line with the brand new stadium with someone else. I've never thought "good appointment Steve" or ever been impressed by him. I think Mark Ashton is a real revelation and I don't think we will keep him long as he is capable of higher scale things than a club knocking around the bottom 8 of the second tier of English football. Hoping he can attract a decent name with a healthy amount of experience when the board finally see LJ's position as untenable like I did 4 weeks ago.
