From CR's press conference, both Isla and Sandro are out injured but Charlie back in contention So does this mean that with Ned still out we might have 2 sets of 3 initials playing full back this week......SWP on the right and YSY on the left or will it mean the introduction of another youth player? Harold would have written this game off if this happened whilst he was in charge
I think that Doughty will play right back. I believe that he played there when he came on against Sunderland, but it is difficult to tell the formations when watching a web stream.
I think they put him in right midfield to protect him from direct exposure to the attack. I think it was SWP who filled in at right back but it was all a tense blur. They were a bit cautious with Doughty but he did well enough so hopefully would be OK if called upon (especially given some time to get him ready).
Doughty for me................ i think he deserves a chance to start given he has waited something like 4 years for the opportunity and will give his all. He certainly looked comfortable enough on the ball when he came on last game.
Is Doughty actually a full back, thought he played in mid field when he came on against Sunderland and SWP filled in at RB........but the same as Matt it was all a tense blur....
Doughty is a wide midfield player. SWP was the full back, 100% certain. I think it will be SWP playing as a full back, mainly because we have no other options. He may prove us all wrong and put in a blinder.
Injured Isla could miss QPR’s trip to Hull please log in to view this image 19/02/2015 By David McIntyre Mauricio Isla is a major doubt for QPR’s trip to Hull after picking up a knee injury. The Chilean is due to be assessed on Friday to see whether he is fit enough to join a Rangers squad that will include top scorer Charlie Austin, who has recovered from the foot injury which ruled the striker out of the recent win at Sunderland. Caretaker manager Chris Ramsey has had to contend with injury worries since taking charge – Leroy Fer and Richard Dunne are out with knee problems and a hamstring injury has sidelined Nedum Onuoha. Sandro, meanwhile, is still unavailable following the knee injury he suffered during the defeat at Newcastle in November. “Sandro is still in the conditioning phase but he is getting better every day,” Ramsey said. “We want to be very cautious with him because the last thing we want is for him to break down and be out for the grandstand finish to the season.” He added: “I’m happy to say that Charlie is fit for the weekend. The staff have worked really hard to get him fit, so we’re happy with that.”
He's out until at least 4th of March according to ... http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php Who's going to play right back?
Danny Simpson..................oh wait...............Dino chops got shot of him didn't he SWP it is then
I know that Michael Doughty can play anywhere across the midfield .............. maybe a shout for RB?
Without Sandro being fit we need him in front of the back four. I think SWP would be better as a defender than a forward...
