Apparently so...as it's a port. Not the ship building target it once was obviously..

Trump won't bomb it...Irish Americans won't like that lol...there's irony in that somewhere. Lol

The Half-Life of carling is 500 years. Being near it is dangerous though cos its radio active itself.

I think if you lined your bunker with peroni it might absorb a lot of radiation and save your life

It's not them I'm worried about. China won't take kindly to any U.S. Provocation on their doorstep......and they are, by far, a different animal to the last time Korea was at war.

Surely China don't want NK potentially developing and delivering a nuclear weapon, they're already putting sanctions on them

They don't, but at the same time they have a long history of supporting NK and don't like the US interfering in Asian politics. Taiwan is perhaps the bigger issue between China and US and will the the sticking point over any joint action or China actually doing anything.
Think China are pretty safe in the knowledge that NK have zero interest in them because of the history, similar I would think Russia.

Japan and SK (obviously) are the ones who have a greater worry about any Nuclear program and are far more likely to take direct action along side the US.

World would be better without N. K. Leadership, but really it's only Kim and generals that deserve to be taken down. Start a war with NK and a lot of people will die. NK will certainly pummel SK (you're electronics will cost a lot more for a while).

Hundreds of thousands could die... And that's best case if China doesn't get involved.

It's China that are keeping them afloat, they send grain, luxuries, etc in exchange for coal and other minerals. I don't want to sound like Sisu, but I suspect China are behind NK's nuclear programme as it enables them to reap the benefits of NK's experiments. They also want NK to exist as it is a buffer between China and South Korea, especially with the amount of USA involvement in SK.

The last Korean War was A proxy war. There won't be much left of Korea this time if it happened again.

Trump would be mad to go for NK as he needs China on his side as they basically own USA the debt the USA have with China is astronomical.

Yeah the NK regime are nasty oppressors who are depriving their population of freedom and basic living standards and human decency, large sections of the country live in poverty and are starving. In an ideal world the whole regime would be taken out with minimal collateral, they are also intent on destabilising things geo-politically at every opportunity (not that Trump isn't doing this of course with his armada)

Sadly the reality is as above there would be massive carnage if anything like that was given the go-ahead and a huge amount of people would die undeservingly. Plus there's the relationship with China to be mindful of as mentioned above

So, you're saying Trump is likely to go for NK.

The US owing China do much money is more China's problem than the US's to be honest.

He will not want China stopping the credit line for the US. Also the Chinese could easily send several million soldiers over the border and have South Korea before the US could get troops in as was proved in the last Korean war. It does not matter how fancy your weaponry is if a country can afford to lose a million plus men and still fight, as the Russians proved in WW2.
