But the SKY money makes no difference to Messi's earnings. It affects things here where the huge amounts SKY dish out to the PL means average players now get paid a fortune. The money La Liga clubs get from SKY is minute. Their money for years came from the fact that nearly all the TV money was carved up between Real Madrid and Barcelona. They have now brought in another system where money is more evenly distributed but it still favours the 2 Madrid clubs and Barcelona. But is a lot better than the previous one which saw Real and Barcelona get 140million euros whilst the bottom clubs got 18 million. Of course Messi's profile, like Ronaldo's and the commerial spin offs result in their astronomical wages as well. Wasn't commenting on his talent, but his earnings and wealth. Which is less than those of Jack Dee, who Peter Kay is far funnier than. In my opinion anyway.
I wasn't being contrary in the slightest, I just think Peter Kay is a really really ****ing **** comedian who hasn't changed his act in 20 years.
The most successful British comedian (in fanancial terms) is Ricky Gervais and he's a right annoying twat.
Perhaps he is, but the difference is he has made very good comedy series, his stand-up is average and he tries new things rather than just repeating the same approach for twenty ****ing years. I'm also guessing his successful Hollywood films have contributed a fair bit of that wealth.
Oi, watch it. I met Ricky, first name terms, in NYC and he was an absolute gent. Russell Howard, now he's a grade A tool. Absolute ****er.
Yeah remember you saying. He has often said himself he always makes himself available for a photo and autograph, which people seem to like. Russell Howard - "Aren't ninjas ace?"
It means he missed a y off the end of the. Or autocorrect altered it. Still possible to work out what he meant more easily than one of Party's posts.
i don't much bother with football anymore , getting promoted the first time to the Prem was an amazing feeling , pride and all that palarva . that quickly changed to indifference and now i am simply not interested in going to watch a game at all , OK i watch them on the download but ive no real passion for the club i followed avidly from 1976 to 2006 - that was the last season i felt passionate about City , somehow i could sense either they didnt "need me" or at best i no longer mattered . Thats me looking at it retrospectively , but cut it however you like , i became largely uninterested when we became strong and stable !!!! Of the Prem , i always hoped the best for our Home clubs despite them not representing me in any way whatsoever and i did say in 2009 the Prem will forever struggle to attract the best players anymore as the Prem is too evenly spread , its quite a lottery to expect Champions league football for any club
