    Hi everyone, there is a thread on the Pompey board, suggesting that they will taking a large following to Reading for their match there. I think that it may be a bit too far for them to travel, so I was wondering what you all thought? Either;

    1. Pompey fans can manage Reading with ease, or

    2. Pompey fans can manage Reading with some assistance, or

    3. Frankly, Reading is beyond most Pompey fans.

    Personally, I think they could manage Reading, with a little guidance. :)
    What say you?

    Pompey's away fans are far too over rated. The only reason people think that they are decent is because that prick Westwood goes to every game and blows on a childs toy horn to make a little noise. They brought over 4000 to St Mary's last season and only really got going well when about 3-1 up (in a fierce derby..whats going on!). Their average away attendance (and home) is awful and compared with Saints its very low. Having their away fans been so bigged up, I was disappointed with their input to the atmosphere last season.

    I think the OP is referring to the fact that Portsmouth has incredibly high illiteracy rates. I would vote 3 and take it further to encompass the people of Poopey as well!

    If only there was a town near Reading called Writing.
    I cant imagine what they'd call the new team if the pair of them merged.......

    Actually, there is such a town. It's a small hamlet on the outskirts of Rithmatic. ;)

    Yup, that was it. Just a gag. Destined to fall by the wayside and onto page 2 of the threads very quickly. Well, it's just the way my mind works.<somersault>

    Leaving Reading aside, earlier in the season, our form would have suggested a future meeting with a neighbour of theirs.

    You are assuming that Pompey do not make the Championship play offs , win them and return to where we belong in the Premiership! <whistle>
