So RM did bid for Pog, but he chose UTD Poor RM http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...a-Premier-League-Sport-News-Mourinho-Ferguson
We've been here before. Utd sign a "world class" complete midfielder from Italian football, tipped to be a success, signed by one of the games great managers. Paul Ince wasn't viewed as world class, moves to Italian football, adored by the Inter fans during his successful two years. Just saying.
Yeah 'poor Real Madrid' - I'm sure they won't mind too much as they're bound to win **** loads without him
Pogba Who? just a player who happened to play in a successful Italian team and who no one ever heard of... Not even deserves to be part of the United 11. Just saying.
He doesn't want to leave, just thinks he might have to now! Even he laughed about it though, I think by then we were 4-0 up against Everton so it was all banter.
That's pretty much what Juve did to get him back in 2012, seems pretty standard nowadays. At least we actually approached the club when we decided to go ahead with the move.
Apparently Madrid too offered more than United to scupper the deal at the last minute. I said a while back there was no way that Madrid were going to let go of the title of club with the most expensive player without a fight.
Not a good read for jealous rivals http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football..._the_day&ns_source=facebook&ns_linkname=sport
This has been my argument since day one. Whilst hating the protracted bs about the agents fee, the £100m may well have reset the transfer pricing structure for European clubs but that's not United 's problem if they can easily afford the price asked. The club's commercial structure is such that they will recoup the money paid (as incredible as it may seem) within a few years. At 23 he is not such a big risk. Higuain would IMO be a higher risk at his age. That's why Souness simply does not get it about Pogba not being worth £100m. For United as long as Pogba will improve the first 11 then he is worth it. Possessing the world's most expensive player is definitely worth whatever premium Juventus may have added to his nominal value.
No one actually gives a **** about the fee tbh.... I think you're all getting yourselves wound up thinking we do
But Trebs, do people really care. I mean is it really an issue??? I think it's mainly Utd fans trying to justify the fee. I personally couldn't give a **** if it was 100 billion.
