Can't believe the nonsense figure quoted for Bryan - 'up to £2m'?! Even with a '1' before that, you'd still have a handful of people wondering if we should accept. Vassell could be interesting, though what would the pecking order look like with him here? Could spell the end for Engvall? Elliasson looks potentially exciting, though apparently he's in Sweden and in the squad for a game tonight, so doesn't sound imminent.
i dont think there any thought bryan will leave, I think its flint who will likely be off but has anyone had a bid accepted for him and if not he has made life hard for himself i cant see heggler being dropped and baker here as well at this moment he is effectively fourth choice cb, if he plays against plymouth then likely no bid accepted I think of the mentioned players its the keeper that could make biggest impact i think engval is gone rumour was he maybe a make weightin the eliason deal if thats not the case ithink he would be behing durich taylor and vassel
theres 3 trialists playing in the under 23 game 64 - Nurse, Pring, Dowling, Trialist 2 and Trialist 3 replace Golbourne, Akpobire, Trialist 1, Richards and De Girolamo.
Brum now cooling on Bryan and just lining up a Flint offer. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/spo...ews/aden-flint-birmingham-city-chief-13444306
Yan Dhanda from Liverpool? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...fielder-Yan-Dhanda-set-Championship-loan.html
If City just wanted to 'put it to bed', then they'd have accepted whatever miserly offer Birmingham City had put on the table, in which case you'd be up in arms that we'd let him go for such a low price. The reason it's dragging out is because they want a good price. It's called negotiating.
Never heard of him, so can't comment directly. I'm personally not a big fan of loaning in players, unless: 1) They're an outstanding talent, who we couldn't hope to sign permanently (i.e. Abraham). 2) They come in as a quick fix to a spot in the squad, caused by injuries/failed transfer targets/underperformance. 3) It's as a 'try before you buy' situation. On the face of it, it seems as though the first option is the only one that might apply, otherwise, why help develop someone else's player rather than give game time to one of our own? I'll trust the scouts and the club to make the right decision though.
